Just completed the Rays...

Teams remaining before the next release (3): Texas, Toronto, Washington

Don't get your hopes up but at this speed, I could have a new version out for PC late tomorrow night

I'm on a roll and done with the Blue Jays too.

I'll do the Nationals right away while I'm at it but there won't be anything released today. Still a few things to fix and I'm leaving the house in 2 hours to attend our baseball leagues Award Show, dinner, Winter meetings...

The Nationals are done and all the other 29 teams have been edited with new batting ratings based on the 2006 stats!

The cyborg is back

This is important so pay attention!

UR 8.0 Final will be released in a couple of days if not today. As always, there will be a PC-version first (Standard/Plus) and then hopefully some kind soul will be able to convert it to Xbox and ps2.

The update wil feature updated batting ratings for ALL players that had an MLB at-bat during the 2006 season and it's all based on the 2006 stats with three-year splits (2003-2005) doing its fair share to the calculations too. Thanks to kraw for formulas :wtg:

This is where it gets more important for you...

UR 8.0 Final will be the last of what I'd like to "2006 rosters" meaning that the rosters will be based on all the teams right at the second the Cards won the World Series. This means Papelbon will be a closer, Randa/Mueller will be active players, no off-season trades or FA-signings etc. I think you get my point? Also, there won't be any affiliation changes made in this version (I.E. Arizona single-A is still Lancaster Jethawks).

UR 8.1 will be like one of my regular updates with up-to-date transactions and such. Papelbon will be a starter, DeRosa on the Cubs, Helms on the Phillies, Randa/Mueller retired...you get my point. Haven't really decided when this particular update will be released but it's definitely before Christmas if that's something you want to hear. This version will on the other hand feature the affiliation changes.

UR 8.2 will probably be held off on until Spring Training starts but that's all in the clouds right now...

Questions?

UR 8.0 Final is available for download about 2 weeks ahead of schedule :D

Here’s what’s new in this version:

• Transactions are up-to date as of October 27th (8 pm ET)

• Updated batting ratings for ALL players fielder that had an at-bat during the 2006 season. The new ratings are based on the 2006 stats along with three-year splits (2003-2005) for each player. (Thanks to kraw for the formulas)

• Edited tons of stuff you guys have been sending me and posting in the forums.

• Plus minor tweaks here and there to improve your gameplay even further (ratings, appearances etc.)

Go grab it and be sure to enjoy it!

(Yeah I know I posted this like two days ago but I did it again so that we don't have to answer the usual questions about these little things...)

Seems I made a small error but it's nothing to worry about. I have Daisuke Matzusaka's player ID set to 9997 instead of 6200. Either change it yourself in MVPedit or simply change the name of his portrait fsh-file to 9997 before you install it (if you've downloaded any of the ones here at the site).

I'll correct this in the next version. Thanks :)
