BigRog
totte i expect that you do know this but i dont think you should put JD Drew on the sox just yet seeing as his deal is still pedning and O.K. physical and it still hasnt been announced
DustinTheWin
also totte, you can put mark loretta and trot nixon on the FA list because pedroia and Wily Mo Pena would be the starters as long as nobody is aquired (pedroia will likely be the starter but wily mo will likely be replaced by drew but not quite yet)

cybernetic
Just to let you know the Jays signed these minor league free agents (mostly as AAA filler) I don't know how many of these you have already done: 1B Kevin Barker (re-signed) OF Chad Mottola (re-signed) RP Beau Kemp RP Jean Machi CF Jeff Duncan SP Geremi Gonzalez RP Matt Roney RF Mike Vento
TwentySeven
OF Jonny Gomes with the Devil Rays will likely start the season as DH with Ty Wigginton as the favorite for 1B. However, Gomes will be likely be learning how to play 1B in addition to the outfield to make room for incumbents Carl Crawford and Rocco Baldelli and newcomer Delmon Young. As it stands, the DH will be Gomes, the 1B will be Wigginton, LF Crawford, CF Baldelli, RF Young.
cubsfaninfla
Yankees signed first baseman Juan Miranda to a four-year contract. The Cuban defector said last week that it was a $2 million deal. Miranda, a left-handed hitter, is listed as 23, but it believed to be a couple of years older. He'll probably begin the season at Double- or Triple-A, whereever Eric Duncan isn't. There's a chance he'll develop into a capable regular, but the odds are probably against it. Emil
Rich Aurilia needs a power boost. He hit 23 HRs last year and in your roster (8.0) he has just 59 power vs righties and 54 power vs lefities. Pluss he had a .300 AVG, so you might want to look at his contact ratings as well. A power boots also goes for Ray Durham, who hit 26 HRs last year. And only has 69 power vs righties and 61 vs lefties. Pedro Feliz should also have low to mid 70s power, rather than 72 vs righties and 67 vs lefties. I know I have mentioned Pedro Feliz and Durham before, just checking. You can't just rate a player on one-year splits. Mark Loretta hit almost 20 homeruns 3 years ago but has averaged around 7 since. See my point? Totte
Just pitched a one-hitter with TB and Casey Fossum against Kris Benson and the O's. Won the game 6-0 and Fernando Tatis had the lone hit That was my first one-hitter :D

tejdog1
My favorite is when no name players break up no hitters (Kip Pellow 2004 anyone?) Totte, are you going to up the ratings on each teams top prospects (that haven't reached the majors), ie: Carlos Gomez, Jose Tabata, Mike Carp, Elijah Dukes, etc... TwentySeven
Juan Miranda, the 23 year old 1B who signed with the Yankees will start the season at their single-A camp, but because he was signed to a major league contract, he will get an invite to spring training and will be on the forty man roster. Astros agreed to terms with infielder Eric Bruntlett on a one-year, $525,000 contract.Red Sox signed RHP Runelvys Hernandez to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.Devil Rays re-signed RHP Doug Waechter to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.3B Sean Burroughs, who was with the Devil Rays, signed a $450,000 minor league contract with the Mariners that includes an invitation to spring training. The Rangers added depth at third base by signing Jared Sandberg to a Minor League contract, but without an invitation to Spring Training. The Rangers also signed outfielder Todd Donovan to a Minor League contract without an invitation to Spring Training.
skibz
Hey Totte, I still kinda think Timlin should have a style 3 delivery just because when you watch him pitch, it's not straight up over his head. it's more of a 45° delivery. Same goes for Lenny DiNardo. From how I've seen him pitch, it looks a lot more like a 45° delivery than an overhead. I really don't like Matt Clement on the MLB roster 'cause he hasn't played in so long and think Lenny DiNardo should be the 4 starter instead. Please all my fellow red sox fans who read this, try it out and perhaps i'll seem more credible. Unless you've already changed all this in your update, please disregard this message. I'm confident in the pitching motions I have for Timlin and DiNardo so unless you prove me wrong with images, I won't change 'em. I've bumped down Clement to single-A and DiNardo is in AAA cuz there's no way he'll start the season in Boston (unless he has the ST of a lifetime but that won't happen).
