Totte
Not sure if this will help or not but... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/hotstove06/index It shows the projected starters for every team, who they signed, who they lost, and who is still a free agent on the team That's just what I was fishing for. Thanks so much!
Totte
Happy New Year, ALL! Hey Totte, got a request. Could you please (if possible) maybe not max out all the minor league rosters? Maybe leave them at 23 players each? I ask because it's really hard to make player additions with each roster set at 25. That's definitely do'able (is that a word?) Haven't thought of it earlier but I'll get started at looking how the rosters would shape up. What you're saying is that you want 25 players on the MLB roster, 25 in AAA, 25 in AA and 23 in single-A? Totte
Hey guys, just wondering how the xbox conversion of the rosters is going along? I'm sure its hard work so please don't take me wrong, just wanted to know how its coming along...Happy new year to everyone! There's still an issue with the hex id's making the game to crash after a conversion. No word yet on when it'll be resolved.
Totte
Happy New Year! I'd like to express a great big thank you to all of you out there that have helped me out during 2006 by posting different stuff in the thread and on the boards. Together, we can make 2007 a great year for baseball and roster modding! Thanks :)
Totte
I need some info on Emmanuel Burris (SS/2B) who the Giants drafted 33rd overall in 2006. Looking to add him to the rosters :)
Totte
Arizona Diamondbacks sign OF Dee Brown and RHP D. J. Carrasco to minor league contracts. No word on the value of the deals or anything like that. Updated in the rosters, thanks :)
sfgiantsflgators
I need some info on Emmanuel Burris (SS/2B) who the Giants drafted 33rd overall in 2006. Looking to add him to the rosters Here's what I could throw together on Burris: Vitals: Born - 1/17/85 B/T - S/R H - 6'0" W - 170 Pos - SS/2B Stats from Northwest League (Salem-Keizer): G - 65 AB - 254 AVG. - .307 2B - 9 3B - 2 HR - 1 RBI - 27 BB - 27 SO - 22 SB - 34 CS - 11 OBP - .384 SLG - .366 OPS - .750 As for fielding, reports say he has good range and a good arm, but he committed a Salem team high 15 errors. His arm isn't a plus, but it's good enough that he could survive at shortstop and be Vizquel's replacement down the road. It wouldn't surprise me if Burris jumped Marcus Sanders this season, finishing up in AA at season's end. This kid can flat out run, and he led the Northwest League with 35 steals, 13 more than second place. He will never be a power hitter, but he it a great contact hitter who rarely strikes out, putting the ball in play and using his speed to get on. He has good range at shortstop and a strong enough arm to remain at shortstop, giving the Giants some much needed hope for the future of their middle infield. tejdog1
No, I meant 23 in AAA, AA and A. Especially since for most teams, those fringe guys (who are most likely the worst rated ballplayers on their respective teams) are players who won't be used at all. BigRog
i think two blank spots in just single a is better because that leaves space. even the worst guys on the roster i like to play with. for example Jason Johnson last year for the sox sucked but i still played with him because in my dynasty it is relistic to make a spot start with him. I have to agree with this - a couple spots in single-A is fine for a compromise, but I'd rather have a "real" guy that's got no shot of making it than a fake player signed by the computer to fill in. If I decide to do this, I'll make the single A roster at 23 players. The only way to stop the CPU from creating fake layers to start the season with is to maximize the FA-pool to 255 players. I'll see what I can do but I can't guarantee anything

TwentySeven
Under the terms of his deal with the Giants, Barry Zito can void his 2014 option should it vest and receive a $3.5 million buyout. Zito will make $10 million this year, $14.5 million in 2008, $18.5 million each of the following three years, $19 million in 2012 and $20 million in 2013. The vesting $18 million option for 2014 kicks in with 200 innings in 2013, 400 innings in 2012-13 or 600 innings in 2011-13. It contains a $7 million buyout if it doesn't vest, and if it does, Zito can opt out and receive $3.5 million.
