HypnoxXx
I had just created Doumit before you posted, bby heh... Salaries: Some people haven't downloaded our latest updates obviously! I've had those fixed since I believe 3.4...Also, rechecking those Rangers players, lemme state now that in almost all cases, I don't include option years because you just never know how that will pan out. Only guarenteed contracts are input.

RiceBoy
The Blue Jays have finalized their 25 man roster by releasing Kerry Ligtenberg and keeping non-roster invitee Pete Walker, who I don't believe is included in the most recent rosters.
D.M.Z.
For the Pirates would you guys be willing to put in pitcher Tom Gorzelanny 2833 at AA, pitcher Bryan Bullington 2205 at AAA or AA, depending on what is done with the DL guys Burnett and Van Benschoten, pitcher Paul Maholm 2958 A, first baseman Brad Eldred 2793 AA, outfielder Rajai Davis 8504 AA, centerfielder Chris Duffy 8505 AAA, pitcher Blair Johnson 2903 A, and SS Javier Guzman 2841 A. All of the above listed players were from total minors last year and are in the top 30 prospects of the organization according to baseball america. HypnoxXx
Hey Kraw, I'm HOPING to have everything set to go tomorrow...If someone could figure out how to reduce the in game FA max, it'd be even better, but otherwise, thanks to Hory and DMZ's help with numbering, they're about ready to go...I figure I'll let tomorrow come and any transactions that occur with it so I can get those worked out before I release. Juan1919
Ok thats cool about the option years, but Teixeira doesnt have an option year, you have him as a free agent after this year, where he cant actually be one til 2009, he just has arbitration years ahead til then
HypnoxXx
I know, and its a sad problem, Juan, since arbitration is just one of the things ignored in MVP. There's really no way around it, because we can't what he'll earn.

movies2090
I haven't been a part of this thread until now and just have a few questions that i hope someone can answer: Are the most current rosters have stats tweaked? Like pitchers speed, pitches added, more power to players/less power stuff like that. I am guessing they have been and would really like to try out the newest ones once you get them to the xbox. So basically that's the only question I really want answered is if you have changed/tweaked many players attributes.
HypnoxXx
Movies...I simmed several seasons and tried my best to edit ratings where I saw fit..For example, if a guy who averages 5-10 homers a year is hitting 20-25 on average in MVP, I took his power down...If a guy who steals 5 bags a year is stealing 30, I took his speed down...Pitchers are harder to adjust, though, but I have done my best to make pitch types correct and speeds correct for several pitchers thanks to suggestions posted on this thread. bbythepier
Good article on Crawford, but he hasn't been around long enough to be considered better then Edmonds IMO. Could be right Phillyfan. You'll notice however, I never make my case w/ my opinion. Even on my favorite player Noah Lowry, I ALWAYS make my case with multiple respected, verifiable, NATIONAL sources. I would never expect a "public roster" to make changes based on MY words. That doesn't mean we can't gripe over Crawford vs. Edmonds at the coffee shop. I'll still take Crawford if it's in the field of play. If it is headed over the fence, then yes Jimmy gets the edge. But then again, Torii Hunter and Andruw Jones are often considered better CF's among the experts. Don't believe me. Pick up something not published in St. Louis and see for yourself. Edmonds has a nickname, "Hollywood". He has a tendency to make plays look better than maybe they are. Oh yeah, I didn't give him that nickname. MLB players did. I don't include option years because you just never know how that will pan out. Only guarenteed contracts are input. Way back in the depths of this thread, I said I only included option years when there is both a player AND club option. I jumped the gun on Crawford, Hyp, which I'm sure you have fixed on looking at the breakdown. (4yr. ~ $20 mill., w/ buyouts) You are the man! jbmagicfan
HypnoxXx for the Dodgers please keep Eric Gagne, Werth and ALvarez on 25 man major league roster. there all going to start on the 15 day disable list. but will be in the majors when they come off the DL. i hope you dont put them all in AAA i hope any 15 day disable list players for all teams that start the season on it, dont get put in AAA, because most of them will make the major league roster. i can understand the ones that won't make the majors, then its ok to put on AAA. Thanks for the great roster. you guys are awesome.
bbythepier
Injuries: Barry Bonds will remain on the ML roster--too many people would be unhappy if we did anything else...Anyone hurt for less than 3 months will also be unaffected (although I did push Wood and Prior to the back of the Cubs rotation since they'll miss the opening series of the year)...Anyone hurt for 3 months-the entire year will be in AAA. I may have missed some injured players, but no one listed anyone who fit that category besides the 3 guys I listed (Trachsel, Sean Burnett, and Van Benschoten) jb, You're determined to get that confirmation on injuries. Well here's a quote from one of the roster creators. DON'T WORRY, bro. Your guys w/ small injuries will be spared. Thata kid!!! I do recommend looking at the rosters before Crying Wolf, though. A few pages back, I mentioned S. Williamson had Tommy John surgery and would be out for the year. Then I checked the rosters, and they already had him in AAA. That's when the guys look at you like you bonked your head and you get a post like: we have him in AAA

bbythepier
Bedridden on a Friday night with the dreaded flu bug and can't sleep, here's some more minor tweaks on the rosters, Hyp. Cardinals rotaion 1. Carpenter 2. Marquis 3. Mulder 4. Suppan 5. Morris Don't ask. Saw it on Sportscenter. [Haha, Gagne on 15 day DL cause Dodgers let him pitch w/ sore knee. What a bunch of Morons. Now that's a little more fair: No Bonds, No Gagne]

bbythepier
This one is for the Indian fans, like TribeTime, out there. Casey Blake : Fielding = 4/15 Matt Lawton (Pirates): Fielding = 9/15 Quote from Indian site: "Blake's play has shown otherwise, and he's silenced the critics so far. Looking at his skills in left field compared to man he replaced (Matt Lawton), the Indians come out of the move with a defensive upgrade at the position." IBM presents "You Make the Call" More Indians: Should move Sabathia to back of rotation (I know, if you've done it already then ignore me) Mariners Pineiro should be dropped to back of rotation (15 day DL) Marlins Flip LoDuca and Encarcion in lineup (according to team website)
jbmagicfan
Dodgers rotation: 1. Lowe 2. Perez 3. Weaver 4. Penny (Dessens for now) 5. Erickson via Dodgers web site But Penny should stay in rotation on roster. he only going to miss one or 2 starts. there no need to take him out of rotation on roster when its release. bbythepier
Stay with me on this one, Hyp. Straight from Marlins website, April 1, 2005 "Non-roster invitee Brian Moehler has all but ensured himself a roster spot as a long reliever and emergency starter. Reliever Nate Bump also is likely to remain and fill the role vacated by Riedling. The Marlins' position players are: Juan Pierre, Luis Castillo, Miguel Cabrera, Carlos Delgado, Mike Lowell, Paul Lo Duca, Juan Encarnacion, Alex Gonzalez, Jeff Conine, Matt Treanor, Damion Easley, Lenny Harris and Chris Aguila. " OK, what needs to be done? 1st, Moehler needs to be brought up from AAA. Then Bump needs to be sent down and made a starter at AAA. Look: Bump is holding Rielding's spot. But since Riellding is only on 15 day DL, then Bump should be in AAA. Then Willingham-C needs to be demoted to AAA, and Aguila should be brought up. (Also since Spooneybarger is only on 15 day DL and they plan to have him in about a month, then he should replace Perisho according to your rule)
bbythepier
But Penny should be in rotation. he only going to miss one or 2 starts. there no need to take him out of rotation on roster.
