The Ohka deal is one-year for $1.5M.. pencil him in as the 5th starter. The deal is still pending a physical but that should be out of the way by the end of the week.

Marcum will join the Syracuse rotation

Ramirez down to AA (again)

and Litsch back to High A

That's what I think now, although Marcum may start in the bullpen in the majors. We'll see when they break S.T.

Jays also signed minor league free agents RP Jesse Carlson and 1B Manuel Rodriguez to a minor league deals.

Carlson will likely report to Syracuse (AAA) and Rodriguez to Dunedin (A). Rodriguez is not in your rosters by the way. I'd send down Josh Banks and put him in the AA bullpen to make room for Carlson.

Hey Totte,

I'm sure posts like this are really annoying and I do appologize for that. However, when is the next release date expected? This isn't meant in a "hurry up" manner (I understand the difficulty and time-consumming process it takes), but rather an "inquiring mind" manner. I understand you can't put an exact date on it, but an expected area would be nice (i.e. soon [next month or so], not until the start of spring training/regular season, ect.).

I'd also try and search the thread myself to find the answer, but considering all the posts this thread gets with roster updates, it'd be EXTREMELY difficult and time consuming to find the answer.

Thanks for all your hard work :)

The Yankees asked Robinson Cano to hand over his No. 22 in case free agent Roger Clemens rejoin the team, a request he complied to. He will wear 24.

Indians manager Eric Wedge sees his team carrying only one backup infielder, leaving room for Ryan Garko on the bench.

If Cleveland carries two backup infielder, Victor Martinez would likely play first against lefties. If they go with one, that will be Garko's role. Hector Luna looks like the leading candidate to play behind Jhonny Peralta and Josh Barfield. Joe Inglett, Luis Rivas, Keith Ginter and Mike Rouse will also be in the running.

Athletics acquired RHP David Shafer and a player to be named from the Reds for RHP Kirk Saarloos and a player to be named.

Reds signed infielder Mark Bellhorn to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Carlos Delgado said he could miss a few games at the start of the regular season for the birth of his child.

Pirates signed outfielder Luis Matos to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training - he will likely be the fifth outfielder if Jody Gerut is still on the DL to start the season.

His addition practically guarantees that Rajai Davis and Chris Aguila will open the year in Triple-A.

Blue Jays agreed to terms with RHP Tomo Ohka, who had been with the Brewers, on a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

-Darin Erstad has reportedly signed a contract with the White Sox w/ a 2008 option

-S-Pod will likely start the season on the DL.

-Erstad will compete with Brian Anderson for starting time in center field if Podsednik returns healthy during Spring Training and is ready to go for the start of the regular season. Rookie outfielders Ryan Sweeney and Jerry Owens also could figure into the overall mix, depending on Podsednik's recovery period.

Darin Erstad will sign a one-year deal with the White Sox, MLB.com reports.

Dodgers signed (officially) RHP Rudy Seanez to a minor league contract.

Phillies agreed to terms with RHP Antonio Alfonseca on a one-year deal.

Dodgers signed infielder Fernando Tatis to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Blue Jays reached preliminary contract with P Toma Ohka. Ken Rosenthal is saying it's a 1 year deal worth between $700k & $1M

This could be a steal for the Jays if Ohka manages to stay healthy. Looking forward to some great AL East battles this season :D

Don't know if you read back the x couple of pages to find the answer but to sum up I'm still aiming for Sunday as a probable release date for a beta. The lineups/rotations would obviously be fucked up but still, it's a new update :)

Standard and Plus editions would be made available for PC. No console conversion for the beta.
