Totte
i thought it was going to be for ps2? If a conversion is possible with the new hex id's, you might see one depending on how much time kraw has to spare.

Totte
Here is a link that provides all the contracts for the Cubs. http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2005_01_0...ts_archive.html Great! I updated the contracts last year and I think I've narrowed down everything so far this offseason but one never knows. I don't have the time to check it out myself for another couple of days so I'd really appreciate if you could look through UR 8.0 and compare the Cubs salaries to make sure that they match. Thanks

There was a discussion about the rosters working on a ps3 but I'm pretty sure we came to the conclusion that it's not possible. The latest release that was made available for ps2 should be found either at www.eamods.com or www.totalclassics.com but I'm not sure...

sfgiantsflgators
Don't remember seeing it posted: Devil Rays sign Scott Dohmann to a one year deal - worth $430K if he pitches in the MLB...$125K if he's sent to the minors. An additional $50K is available in performance bonuses. Also, the D-Rays released Shinji Mori to make room on their 40-man, then resigned him to a minor league deal. Mori missed last season with a torn labrum. Details of the contract weren't announced.

herky
This is an older scouting report on Jeff Samardzija from June 10 2006, but it might help with a CAP for him. Some info may be different than the last report I posted a few days back but hope it helps a little. Pitching: Jeff is still raw in terms of his pitching style and selection. Considering that he’s never been a full-time pitcher in his life, yet the abilities are there, he’s solid talent. His fastball is of the sinking nature, which the Cubs have been high in drafting the last few years. This year his fastball was consistently hitting 91-94 mph with his max at 99 mph, which is stark improvement over his 89-92 mph fastball the season prior. In the Big East tournament, scouts clocked Jeff at 99 miles per hour twice, 98 three times, 97 six times and 96 eleven times. Also this past year, he ditched his weak curveball and mild splitter and instead went with a hard strong slider (81-84 mph) and added a changeup. Those additions immediately made him a better pitcher even if his line didn’t show it. He doesn’t have much control or command of his arsenal but he also doesn’t spend much of his free time working on baseball as most college pitchers do, so the Cubs feel they if they can get their hands on him they can make him a prime baseball talent. Durability: The kid is a two-sport star, he constantly gets beat up on the gridiron and then comes out and still pitches his day in the rotation. There have been several close calls when he’s been practicing with the football squad and then had to be flown in the night before he pitched. He’s tough as nails and he takes that mentality on the mound with him. His dominating fastball usually doesn’t last the whole ballgame which has some teams believe that he’s a eventual closer with his biting slider and nice change. But not Chicago, they think they can work on his arm strength and teach him how to hold some velocity back for later in the game. MLB comparision: Brad Lidge or Aaron Heilman Jeff’s baseball coach, Manierri, has called him as good or better of a pitcher than either of those guys, both players that he coached as well. Lidge was a starter until arm injuries forced him to the bullpen in the minors, once there he was able to take care of hitters solely on his high octane fastball and devastating slider. Heilman also had a recent switch to the bullpen where he has become very effective with his fastball/slider combo along with mixing in a change here and there. Now certainly the Cubs would hope that Samardzija would be a starter on the major league level, but if he turned into a closer/late innings guy, it wouldn’t be disappointing.
