Mr. "Never Doubt Me",

LATimes.com reports that Dodgers (since their arms are falling like flies) have acquired Pat Mohomes from Mets AAA-Norfolk. But it doesn't say who or what they gave up? Hear anything in the 1000 NY newspapers.

BTW, no offense, but besides Looper (who I like), the Mets might have the worst bullpen for a big market team I have ever seen.

I read conflicting reports. There was news of Ginter already being in the pen and now this. As for what you said about our pen, I pretty much agree with you but I am also of the thinking that any set of arms in a pen can be successful under the right direction and on the right team.

Aybar has impressed

Looper will be Looper

DeJean needs to be the DeJean the mets saw last year

Koo is interesting

Matthews is ok

Heredia is BLAH

Hernandez is BLAH

Just found this out:

Steve Coyler for Matt Ginter

Ginter actually looked decent in Spring Training for this s%$%# bullpen..Why????? Do they call this an upgrade?

http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/new...sp&c_id=nym

They do for the future which might be true. But with the way our pen is now, I don't really like it. Add in the fact that this might mean Heredia is a lock and I am furious especially with the fact that he is now pitching and gave up two runs in an inning.

I don't know if these have been posted, or if they are entirely accurate (I'm assuming they're close if not), or maybe you guys are already using them, but depth charts for all 30 teams are on the MLB websites.

Thanks for the help, edmfan. Welcome to the fold. But I think the idea is for everybody out there to look at their favorite teams or division and let the roster makers know any mistakes found in their rosters compared to the sites. We can't expect these guys to go thru 30 sites themselves.

Hyp,

You are correct on Telemaco, as always. The article was written on the same day as his release, haha.

Trying to find who on the 40 man that hasn't been cut, demoted, or traded. Can't see anything on Liriano, so he's my guess as the last guy in the pen. At least for the next 5 minutes.

http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/NASAp...layer_id=425538

Here's the 40 man. The * next to name means he's in minors (or DL).

when can i get an AR XBOX release for this? i cant use that console friendly one without a modded box. i am growing weak here!!

I'm not trying to be a smart @ss, but the 25-man rosters lock in place at midnight tonight. Let Hyp and the boys make as many changes as they can. He'll get it to Kraw for conversions soon enough.

For instance, my Giants are mulling over Foppert vs. Fasssero for the last guy on roster. The word will come sometime today, and we can make the change to the roster.

Hey Hyp,

The White Sox lineup needs a few tweaks.

Matt Miller on your roster on the Indians you gave him the Photo ID of the oter Matt Miller

The matt Miller photo on my 3.5 is correct and what other matt miller are you talking about? I dont recall another one.

I think that's the plan, jb. And just for that reason P. Walker I was talking about on the previous page should still be made, but put in Syracuse, since he's just a placeholder for Lilly on the 15 day DL. oops.

Walker should have been imported long ago. Ive placed on my import list on about 2-4 different occasions, he was in 2004.

Any Philly fans out there? Does Liriano look like your 12th man in pen?
Liriano Is going to be the final pitcher for the phills.

also some transactions

Devil Rays released outfielder Dee Brown

Dodgers acquired RHP Pat Mahomes from the Mets for a player to be named. Hope that clears up what mahomes was traded for.

Ben Grieve, released by the Pirates yesterday, will sign a contract today to return to the Chicago Cubs.

also I havent seen any post about shane halter being released by the d-rays yet so I figured id post it.

From http://fantasygames.sandboxplus.com/2005/n...MLB&id=5790 on Shane Halter...

"'You'd think [GM Chuck Lamar] would give somebody more respect than releasing them the day before camps break,' Halter said. 'This organization is unorganized. It's in disarray. It's just a bad organization. That's all there is to it.' Mmm-hmm, and you couldn't even make the team..."

OUCH!

Wow...I didn't even know he was still kicking around anywhere.

Supposed to be a star, once upon a time.

GH

Yea well some of it was the way the royals treated him, even though he was extremely inconsistent im sure it didnt help that the royals let him rot in the majors for a few years when he should have been playing in the minors and then doing the exact opposite by sitting him in double-A last year when it was clear he needed to atleast be in triple A.

haha, and it's the exact same thing I posted. One change though, Bruce Chen has been named the 5th starter.

1) Lopez

2) Cabrera

3) Bedard

4) Ponson

5) Chen

The last 2 bullpen spots are down to Bauer, Witasick and Williams. It's more than likely going to be Witasick and Williams.

Actually it came down to witasick and williams, and williams beat out witasick, witasick was reassigned to minor league camp but will likely reject it and become a free agent.

also has it been mentioned that wilson valdez was again claimed on waivers? this time by the mariners.

Just caught a glimpse of Nakamura (Dodgers AAA-L.V.) batting last night. I'm going to use your guys expertise on batting stances.

He's upright and square. He holds the bat high and back, like Counsell, but no wiggling. Then he picks his leg up (knee all the way to chest high) on release and lunges at pitch. What or who's stance best fits that.

(Bat high like Counsell, timing mechanism like A-Rod, but leg kick like he's a pitcher)

"While there's no doubt that DeJesus runs well, he was picked off numerous times in 2004 and often was caught stealing after getting a slow break from first."

This is true, he did do poorly on the basepaths in 2004. However, he does have good speed (needs to be in the 80's in the game), and he has worked a LOT on his baserunning. DeJesus will be much improved on the basepaths this year.

I don't doubt it Nate Dogg. But remember in the famous words of GForce, we rate players on their current abilities (what they can do), not on what they will do in the future. The future is UNKNOWABLE. But good luck to you, DeJesus, and the Royals. I have a feeling they're going to need it.
