So I reinstalled the rosters and all of the ages are now fixed, but now there's a bigger problem. I started a new dynasty, and a bunch of minor league pitchers are missing. 3 out of 5 of the Pawsox starters have vanished...not on the dl, free agent list, or anywhere else for that matter in dynasty mode. What am I doing wrong now?! :headache:

Don't know if you solved it by looking back a couple of pages as Tony3 said but in the dynasty setup screen, you need to make sure "Legends/Heroes - Classic Players" are set to Yes.

It'll be fixed in the new version but that's what you gotta do at this point.

Totte, you need to fix some of the pitcher rankings for the Angels. I.e.,:

Ervin Santana. In 2006 he was 16-8 with a 4.28 ERA. As his rankings stand in the rosters, he can't get out of the 4th inning without giving up 6 runs (and not just when I'm playing) and is 1-4 with a 9.39 ERA in April. That just doesn't make sense.

Jered Weaver. I realize he's a rookie, but the man just matched Whitey Ford's record for consecutive wins in the rookie season. His control on most pitches is certainly better than 78.

I know you work hard on these--this is just to help make it better. Thanks for all your efforts!

Midday happenings from Rotoworld:

PIT:

Pirates signed LHP Michael Tejera to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.

Some added depth for Indianapolis. Tejera, 30, last appeared in the majors with the Rangers in June 2005. He was 8-5 with a 3.80 ERA in 13 starts and 22 relief appearances for Triple-A Fresno last season.

NYY:

Bernie Williams is leaning toward accepting the Yankees' offer of a minor league contract, two people familiar with the situation told Newsday yesterday.

Williams shouldn't make the Yankees, but it's obvious he doesn't look forward to playing anywhere else. He could retire if the Yankees can't find a roster spot for him.

MIN pimp-slaps a few potential arbitration hearings:

The Twins avoided arbitration with Justin Morneau, agreeing to a one-year deal worth $4.5 million.

The reigning AL MVP asked for $5 million and the Twins offered $4 million, so it was an even split down the middle. Minnesota still has Joe Mauer, Michael Cuddyer and Juan Rincon headed for arbitration at the moment.

The Twins avoided arbitration with Nick Punto, signing him to a two-year deal worth $4.2 million.

Punto had asked for $2.1 million, so he essentially gets his asking price in 2007 while likely giving up a little money in 2008.

The Twins also avoided arbitration with Lew Ford, signing him to a one-year deal worth $985,000.

Sign and release:

PIT:

Pirates agreed to terms with LHP John Grabow on a one-year, $832,500 contract.

Grabow can make $70,000 in bonuses, but only if he somehow finds himself in the closers. He'll make $10,000 for 20 games finished, $15,000 for 25 games finished, $20,000 for 30 games finished and $25,000 for 35 games finished. Grabow asked for $925,000 and was offered $765,000 in his first year of arbitration. The Pirates will have him share setup duties with Matt Capps in front of Salomon Torres.

COL:

Rockies released outfielder Choo Freeman.

Freeman spent the entire 2006 season on the Colorado roster because he was out of options and hit .237/.298/.341 in 173 at-bats. He's quite an athlete, but it doesn't look like he'll ever be much of a major leaguer, and the Rockies had no further use of him with Willy Taveras set to take over in center field and Cory Sullivan and Alexis Gomez competing for bench spots.

Think he'll make the team or re-retire? Would it be worth adding him?

It might, he supposedly had hip problems but the fact that he is signed to a minor league deal should put him at Norfolk at least. The only thing is who to drop. I'd like nothing more to see Bryan Bass cut. He hasn't shown much of anything and I think they'll release him this spring anyway so you could can him and add Shuey to Norfolk, sending down Bynum to make room for him.

Drop me an e-mail to totte@mvpmods.com and I'll get back to you if there's something you can do. I'm late for work so I can't check out the rosters right now.
