Totte, I noticed that the contracts of players that weren't free agents weren't changed... is that going to be updated in the next version?

****, I completely forgot about that. I'm gonna have to look into that. Thanks for the heads-up :wtg:

I have an idea of what might be causing the crash...

Try deleting 31 guys to decrease that total value to 3250. Should work like a charm then :)

I don't know why, but there's no crash after deleting just 7 players.

Guess the player-limit is just not what we thought..

I'll :joystick: around with a bit this afternoon and we'll see if I can crack the nut

And the player count is 3318 for latest kg roster, it's got no crash problem... :chin:

That's just weird!

Any idea why? I mean you've had both our rosters under observation...

For those with crashing problems, Totte posted this after uploading the rosters:

I'm not an expert, but I assume that once the new models.big is uploaded, the plus will work.

Regarding UR v 8.1 Plus Edition

Please use the rosters ONLY with the models.big by Big Shmooz available at www.mvpmods.com. This update is compatible with the models.big released for UR 8.0 Plus. If you were to use the 8.x Standard Edition with that very same models.big-file, your game will crash!

The only difference between both versions is that the Plus Edition includes updated cyberface ID’s to make the rosters compatible with the models.big by Big Shmooz. Visit www.mvpmods.com to download the file by Big Shmooz.

I do not know what is going on, I made a little util that converts standard rosters into PLUS rosters. I was told that was what totte used, if so THIS FILE will work

kraw, can you tell me why in your installers, you always compress during the install?

Is it possible to just compress them ahead of time?

you really think this is the thread for that?

anyway if makes for much smaller downloads, the models.big installer is 20 MB bigger if I compress the files on my system and then put them in the installer.

For the 07 mod it was a 200 MB difference

Well, all I know is that it is OK for yours after cutting at least 7 players, you'd better hold on to that limit right now.

There are actually 3218 players in kg's roster, 3231 players in yours if player-double-counting is taken into account.

Quite confusing.

Baseball transactions halt for no roster update: :D

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the A's and Shannon Stewart have agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

The contract could be worth $2.5 million if Stewart reaches incentives. The A's needed to bring in some additional competiton with Jay Payton gone. Stewart may no longer be able to play regularly because of his foot problems, but he could still be an asset at the top of the lineup playing three or four times per week. He'll battle Dan Johnson for at-bats, with Nick Swisher possibly alternating between first base and left field. The A's could also use Swisher in right and Milton Bradley in center when Mark Kotsay rests his sore back.

Reds agreed to terms with RHP Bronson Arroyo on a two-year, $25 million contract extension with an option for 2011.

Arroyo's previous contract contains $8,075,000 in remaining guaranteed salary: $4,125,000 this year and $3.95 million in 2008.

His extension calls for a $2.5 million signing bonus, payable in 2008, and salaries of $9.5 million in 2009 and $11 million in 2010.

CIN:

Reds agreed to terms with RHP Bronson Arroyo on a two-year, $25 million contract extension with an option for 2011.

Not as good of an idea as the Aaron Harang extension, mainly because Arroyo was already signed at $8.075 million through the next two years. The Reds are giving him a $2.5 million signing bonus (paid in 2008), $9.5 million in 2009 and $11 million in 2010. The option for 2011 will be worth at least $11 million and includes a $2 million buyout. Arroyo was a legitimate Cy Young candidate last year, but National Leaguers will adapt to his breaking ball-heavy arsenal just like the AL did. He might be little more than a fourth starter by the end of the deal.

ATL:

Mike Hampton threw 20-25 fastballs Wednesday in his first mound session in four months.

Hampton had some scar tissue break up in his surgically repaired elbow while throwing in October. "The type of surgery I had, there are always going to be some reservations until I can get out there in a real game," he said. "I feel pretty good. Not great, but hopefully [i'll feel] great by the end of spring training."

TB:

Manager Joe Maddon indicated again Wednesday that Akinori Iwamura would likely be his third baseman this season.

Some thought has been given to moving Iwamura to second and either trading Jorge Cantu or playing him at first. Iwamura, though, is likely to be a regular at his natural position. B.J. Upton could make the team as a utilityman if the Rays feel they can find enough at-bats for him.

Why is Tony Graffanino batting cleanup for the Brewers?

You must have an old version because he's not even in the lineup in the latest one I uploaded today. I have Weeks, Hardy, Jenkins, Fielder, Hart...

SD:

The Padres made free agent Chan Ho Park an offer to remain with the team, but he's likely to sign elsewhere, GM Kevin Towers said.

It's unclear who else is interested, but the Marlins might want to take a chance of him as a closer candidate. He'd also be a better bet for the Reds than Dustin Hermanson.
