any way you could possibly release a non dl opening day roster?

He said there a rule he going to use when making the roster.

Injuries: Barry Bonds will remain on the ML roster--too many people would be unhappy if we did anything else...Anyone hurt for less than 3 months will also be unaffected (although I did push Wood and Prior to the back of the Cubs rotation since they'll miss the opening series of the year)...Anyone hurt for 3 months-the entire year will be in AAA. I may have missed some injured players, but no one listed anyone who fit that category besides the 3 guys I listed (Trachsel, Sean Burnett, and Van Benschoten)

sandbox and rotoworld are connected!!!

I never knew that, thanks for the information.

Just caught a glimpse of Nakamura (Dodgers AAA-L.V.) batting last night. I'm going to use your guys expertise on batting stances.

He's upright and square. He holds the bat high and back, like Counsell, but no wiggling. Then he picks his leg up (knee all the way to chest high) on release and lunges at pitch. What or who's stance best fits that.

(Bat high like Counsell, timing mechanism like A-Rod, but leg kick like he's a pitcher)

Before he came to the united states he had a huge looping swing but the dodgers changed him because he was struggling in the earlyspring but with his new swing they gave him he has really been hitting well and if saenz beats him out for a bench spot/ valentins platoon partner, then its reall a shame because he has earned it and is better defensivly.

I don't doubt it Nate Dogg. But remember in the famous words of GForce, we rate players on their current abilities (what they can do), not on what they will do in the future. The future is UNKNOWABLE. But good luck to you, DeJesus, and the Royals. I have a feeling they're going to need it.

Speed and stealing bases are 2 extremely different things. Some of the fastest guys hate or arnt very good at stealing, look at jay payton he hardly ever steals, yet he is probably one of the fastest guys in the league. DeJusus speed in the game needs to be mid 80's just because of his defense, it doesnt matter if on the bases hes like crawford or payton, hes still that fast.

Could someone post something on Wilson Valdez? Did the Mets lose him to the Mariners?

i saw this here.

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/transactions/index.jsp

Seattle Mariners

Claimed INF Wilson Valdez on waivers from the New York Mets; Placed RHP Rafael Soriano on the 60-day disabled list, recovering from Tommy John surgery.

The phrase I saw somewhere (?) Hyp went something like this.

"Valdez was again claimed by a team (Seattle) that has no room on their roster for him. Where he'll end up is still up in the air."

What the advantage is of claiming a player you don't plan to keep, I don't know. And maybe the M's DO want to keep him.

What do you know, abacus found it first.

abacus-

You're preaching to the choir my friend. I (me,myself) was the one who suggested he be in the 80s speedwise. Go back to the original post. Second, a player's "range" attribute determines how fast he is on defense in the OF. Good try, though.

Where? pg. 89, 3rd post

Got the Bay area questions answered.

A's

Saarloos (CS-Fullerton) got the nod over Etherton (USC) for the 5th starter, who's now headed to AAA-Sacramento.

Giants-

Fassero beat out Foppert. So do nothing on rosters, except make Foppert #2 starter behind Hennessey at Fresno. Hennessey more prepared now for a spot start, Foppert has the bigger upside. [And Cain has the biggest upside of them all, hahahaha...]

One more Giants thing, if I haven't said already.

SU- Brower & Eyre

MR- Herges, Christainsen, Fassero

LR- Walker

TribeTime - are you still doing portraits? If so, any plans for doing the Royals? don't worry, I understand if that thought has never crossed your mind. I know I'm a minority as a Royals fan on this board. peace.

Maybe after the Indians and Royals, the MOST I am going to do FOR NOW is the AL Central but its pretty much gotta start over from scratch cause these new Hi Res once that are coming out. Later in the season I might find the portrait itch again but for now my heart is on stadiums :?
