not roster-specific, but an interesting tidbit:

Albert Pujols became a U.S. citizen Wednesday during a ceremony at the Eagleton Courthouse in St. Louis.

Pujols reportedly spent about a year preparing for the citizenship exam. Soon after the citizenship ceremony, Pujols flew to Florida to prepare for the opening of spring training.

totte the rosters look great as usual, one thing though i have the latest big shmooz umachines uniforms models.big dated nov.26 2006 and when i add your ur8.1 the game crashes. any suggestions

Look one page back, on 915. First post has something from Kraw, then about 2/3 of the way down are two posts by Totte saying he updated and fixed the crashing...and gives a link to a file by Kraw (same file I believe).

OAK signed OF Shannon Stewart to a one-year deal worth $1M and designated OF Charles Thomas for assignment. If unclaimed, he'll be likely be outrighted to AAA Sacramento.

TEX agreed to terms with RHP Robinson Tejeda, SS/OF Joaquin Arias, RHP Omar Beltre, RHP Scott Feldman, OF Freddy Guzman, LHP A.J. Murray, RHP Alexi Ogando, RHP Josh Rupe, C Chris Stewart and RHP Edinson Volquez on one-year contracts

COL 3B Vinny Castilla officially announced his retirement from MLB

BAL:

2005 first-round pick Brandon Snyder is expected to spend this year playing first base and DHing after undergoing surgery to repair a torn left labrum last August.

It was his non-throwing shoulder that Snyder had Snyder had repaired, so this is disappointing news. The plan is to move him back behind the plate in 2008, but it's pretty unlikely that he has a future at catcher.

I don't think anybody saw my post 2 pages ago, but I have 2 questions:

1) Does this roster work with MVPSavReader? (I'm at work and can't test)

2) Do we still have to play with unlocked characters ON?

Thanks.

1. I think they'll work just but I haven't tried it out.

2. No, that issue has been taken care of (Thanks to Tony3 and kraw)

Exactly. It worked perfectly fine for me that way :)

Nice work dude, did the updates :wtg:

Chan Ho Park will sign a 1yr 3mil deal with the Mets. Will be announced within 48yr. Being reported.

Guess that it's not a minor league deal then if it's worth 3 mil $? Guess they think he's a good fit for the 5th spot in the rotation...

Thanks

Mets fans (or any other fan for that matter): What are your thoughts on this deal?

Royals future third baseman Alex Gordon will be wearing No. 7 — get used to that number, perhaps for many seasons to come. Gordon wore No. 70 last spring.

Last year, Justin Huber donned No. 7, and the year before that it was Alberto Castillo. A pretty good shortstop by the name of Greg Gagne also wore No. 7 for the Royals.

Some other interesting uniform assignments: Billy Butler will wear No. 21 and Tyler Lumsden will wear No. 66.

Rotoworld:

The Orioles and Corey Patterson have reportedly agreed to a one-year, $4.3 million contract.

That's the midpoint between what Patterson asked for ($4.6 million) and was offered ($4 million) in his final year of arbitration. Patterson will be a free agent at season's end.

The way i see it; Omar is just adding as many arms as he can to compete for the 5th spot in Spring Training. I dont have a problem with it.

So you think Minaya would rather release Park if he has a bad ST than sending him to the minors with a 3 mil $ contract?

We will have to wait and see. They picked up all these pitcher. If Park is the #5 guy then what happens to Sele,Sosa,Pelfrey,Humber. I guess Pelfrey and Humber go down to the minors. Sosa becomes the Long man with D.Williams being out for 3months. Iguess its between Park and Sele. Sele is only a invitee. Iguess Park will be the man unless someone steps up. Hopefully one of the young guns.
