Rosters look great!

I have a few Reds changes. First, these players are not in the Reds org this year:

Chamblee, Jim

Pelaez, Alex

Moss, Damian

Darula, Bobby

Durham, Chad

MacRae, Scott

Booker, Chris

DeHart, Casey

Crawford, Paxton

Scott MacRae retired either in 2003 or 2004. The rest, I'm not sure where they are.

Minor Mispellings:

Szymanski, not Syzmanski

Dickerson, not Dickenson

Denorfia, not Denofria

Santiago Perez is in the Reds org, but the roster says he is with the Texas org.

Stances (maily to get rid of the Bent and Crouched, because way too many players have these)

Joe Randa's stance is Magglio Ordonez. I think if you choose "helton" in MVP edit, you can get this.

Felipe Lopez is generic

D'Angelo Jiminez is Larry Walker

Jacob Cruz is high (and so is his stance)

Jason LaRue is generic

That's all for now!

According to espnews Alex Sanchez has become the first player busted for steroids and has been suspended for 10 games. If this is true it just makes it even worse and now everyone will be looked at for steroids. I mean the guy has 4 career homers but I guess the steriods helped because he hit 2 last year.

Santiago Perez is in the Reds org, but the roster says he is with the Texas org.

Good luck with perez he only made 28 errors and struck out 140 times in 428 at bats in double and triple A. Maybe he's on steroids?

If he is, they certainly weren't from BALCO. Definitely not Bonds & Giambi numbers.

OK, The Post ***** is back

I’m will eventually go thru every organization, but for now only one at a time, like when I’m in between playing “real†MVP games. I just want to offer pitching suggestions to some of each team’s prospects (and some pros). For instance, HypnoxXx’s 5th starter Brad Halsey’s best pitch according to numerous scouting reports is his slider, yet his movement # in the game is a paltry 2. Or he actually throws a circle change that is a fader (like Moyer), not a straight change that tumbles. Since any corrections simply involve a simple drag-and-click (and of course simulation later on), these shouldn’t be too hard to fix, if llc & Hyp so desire. (Yes I was a pitcher in my playing days, if anyone even gives a damn why I’m such a “pitch†nut. This is for all those wannabe P’s out there)

The sources I’m using are BA Prospect Book, Street & Smith’s Baseball 2005, Sporting News Ultimate Scouting Guide 2005, Lindy’s Scouting magazine, and any online sources I can find.

I WILL NEVER GIVE A SCOUTING REPORT IF THERE ARE NO CHANGES TO BE MADE.

MLB-Arizona

Halsey- “…87-90 mph fastball…a slider (his best pitch) and a circle change that fades away from righthanders…will change the speed and break of his slider (maybe give a slurve)…â€

Aquino and Gosling look correct

AAA- Tuscon

Cormier, Nippert look correct

AA- Tennessee

Enrique Gonzalez : “..lives off his fastball…easy gas between 93-98 mph (once threw 96 mph on his 104th pitch)…throws both a curve and slider but slider will be the one he sticks with by increasing the tilt and velocity…â€

#9 prospect Ramon Pena (might need to be created, unless he got hurt)

“…commands a 92-94 mph fastball that he can dial up to 98mph or dial down to 88-91 and add movement…slider has developed int a solid offering…two-pitch combo projects him as a closer…needs to add deception to his changeup to become a starter…â€

All other pitching prospects in A ball

For the Mets, Scott Strickland accepted the minor league assignment and will pitch at AAA-Norfolk to start the year.

Also, keep an eye out of news on Mike Cameron (wrist) and Kris Benson (pectoral strain). One or both could head to the DL in the next 24 hours.

To Mr. Ungrateful from a few posts earlier---"Everyone in the minors are fake"...Odd, seeing as all AAA is real and there are probably over 100 real players in AA too...You're obviously some punk who doesnt even read the readme, did we say all real? no...but you probably cant read anyway. Anyways, I'll give you 2 weeks to give me an accurate, COMPLETE roster from ML-A including free agents (From scratch too, dont use anyone's hard work as a "guide") and then we'll actually give your posts some thought. Until then, go back to your algebra homework.

it shoudl not affect roster.

he has a rule for how to handle injuries.

Injuries: Barry Bonds will remain on the ML roster--too many people would be unhappy if we did anything else...Anyone hurt for less than 3 months will also be unaffected (although I did push Wood and Prior to the back of the Cubs rotation since they'll miss the opening series of the year)...Anyone hurt for 3 months-the entire year will be in AAA. I may have missed some injured players, but no one listed anyone who fit that category besides the 3 guys I listed (Trachsel, Sean Burnett, and Van Benschoten)

Learn now, some people just don't get/appreciate the time this stuff takes. As the voice of experience, don't let it get to you or it'll drive you nuts.

Great work fellas! I noticed a couple minor things that need altered: the Altoona Curve has 24 players on it's roster which may cause problems due to the 22 AA limit in game. Tim Bittner, Joel Peralta, Jake Woods, J. Rouwenhorst and Corey Lee from the Angels have an * beside some of their pitch trajectories. thanks again for you time and dedication to these rosters.

I'd be the 1st to help a fellow Giant fan, but all I can say is it sounds like maybe a cyber issue. I have every "reliable" mod out there (Kc unis, Pirate's stadiums, Hory's & TribeTime's portraits, etc.), but I ONLY have Bonds and Milar's cyber mods installed until I start my dynasty (end of April). I've played like 5 games today against and with all different teams, and no problems. The cybers, if not compressed and assigned the right # will crash the game as soon as the screen switches to the team running on the field (but you probably already know this). Have you noticed it playing with one particular team, like the Red Sox or Giants.

I figured out the problem, so beware...I figured out that it was K.S.M's March 13th Gameplay mod (the Fox one) that was making it crash...

Any thoughts as to why?

Sorry, boss. I'd have to download and look at it. But I do use one of KSM's datafiles. Maybe email KSM off the address on his ReadMe's if you've fallen in love with that camera setup. Anyways, it shouldn't be these rosters.

As an aside, Lowery's 4 2/3, 6 H, 3 BB (read WHIP of almost 2) and 3 ER performance was a sign of why the Giants are high on him?

Must've been from a Frisco paper :)

Needed some real-life baseball but got bored in slow late innings of Yanks vs. Sox. Here’s the Braves P’s.

MLB-Braves

R. Colon

“…saw his velocity increase to 92-95 mph…considerable improvement with the consistency and movement on his slider and splitter…became more of a P than thrower…remains a little raw…â€

Jay Powell

“…heavy SINKING fastball that tops out at 92 mph…has a quick but FLAT slider…â€

Reitsma

“…throws heavy, BORING fastball that tops out at 95 mph…delivers the changeup w/ excellent arm speed and gets good SINKING action…â€

Everybody else looks pretty good.

AAA- Richmond

Blaine Boyer

“…will get first taste of AA in 2005…operates w/ two plus pitches…His heavy sinker sits at 92-93 mph…sharp curveball is potential K pitch…command continues to get better changeup lags behind his other 2 pitches…its development will determine whether he becomes a SP or RP…â€

Zach Miner

“…possesses a solid slider w/ sharp bite…good sinking movement on his low-90s fastball…constantly behind in counts…leads to high pitch counts, the main reason he never went more than 7 innings…â€

K. Davies looks correct

AA-Mississippi

A. Lerew: “…fastball suddenly jumped 4-5 mph…started working between 91-97 mph w/ nice movement…good overall control…At best, his changeup can be a plus pitch and has the break a splitter…lost feel for changeup at times…must tighten his slider…â€

M. McBride looks correct

HypnoxXx,

(Serious ?) What happened to Closer-to-be Valverde? He’s rated high in every scouting report. Can’t hit the plate?
