I forgot how crazy Jurassic Carl was, but you have to love him for coming up with the nickname "curly haired boyfriend".

He was a Cubs killer......so I do not have fond memories of Everett but there are like 200 Cubs killers out there so..... he gets a lil love lol

The Braves trade OF Ryan Langerhans to the A's for a player to be named or cash. Willie Harris has been called up from Richmond. This move surprises me, but Langerhans simply ws not hitting. He's a hell of a defensive outfielder, but when you're only hitting .050 it's tough to keep your job.

So Harris is gonna be the super utility guy off the bench?

Bobby has said that he's not sure how he's going to use Harris. For now, I would probably make Diaz the everyday leftfielder. I would assume that Harris will be used as a late innings pinch-runner/hitter. I'll keep you posted on how he's used

I've been alright, I've been trying to start a baseball team with my friend, hence why I haven't been on so much, but that fell through.

Went to the game Friday, was awesome, was 7 rows back from the Visitors dugout.

Got Kennedy's RBI double on camera, plus some other pics.

How've you been man?

Sorry to hear you couldn't get a team going.

Sounds like awesome seats at the game :)

Been good man. London was awesome!

Totte,

It may be too early to tell, but Harris was in left against the righty last night. Early indications are that Harris and Diaz will platoon in left for Atlanta.

You got any info on him worth mentioning?

Transitioned to the bullpen after 42 starts to begin his professional career...Began the season at Palm Beach (A) and went 3-3 with a 2.81 ERA and four saves...Pitched 2.0-or-more innings in 13 of his 41 appearances at Palm Beach...Was promoted to Springfield (AA) on 7/26 and pitched 1.0 scoreless inning, allowing one hit vs. Arkansas in his Double-A debut. Made 13 appearances for Springfield...Made six relief appearances for Peoria of the Arizona Fall League and allowed two runs over 9.1 innings (1-0, 1.93 ERA)...Held opponents to a .129 batting average (4-for-31).

About Dennis Dove, from the STL Post Dispatch:

The righthander who delivered high-90-mph fastballs in spring training, Dennis Dove, was recalled from Class AAA Memphis on Monday and made his big league debut against the Brewers.

Dove pitched in just the seventh inning Monday in Milwaukee. He allowed one hit but no runs, and he had one strikeout and no walks.

Dove, 25, sports a sinking fastball that caught attention when he averaged 95 mph and touched 97 mph during his first major-league spring training. Assigned to Memphis' bullpen, Dove had whittled his ERA down to 3.00 as he improved over 12 innings and nine appearances.

"I have more confidence, knowing what I could do against some of those guys that I faced (in spring)," he said. "That gave me confidence."

Dove acknowledged that his first time on the roster — taking the spot of reliever Hancock — was "not the way anyone wants it." Dove already was on the Cardinals' 40-man roster, allowing for an easier transaction should Chris Carpenter return from the disabled list within the week.

Felix Pie's batting stance is currently listed as Upright in the game but it doesn't look right. Here are some pics and it looks closer to Alou's stance, but I know he crouches a little and drops his bat straight down over his left shoulder. Here is a link with highlights and Pie has a few batting ones in here. Hard to say what to change the stance to, but suggestions might be needed.

Jays update:

LHP Gustavo Chacin has been placed on the 15-day DL with a shoulder strain and could miss up to 8 weeks if the injury persists. Although the latest reports revealed no serious damage so he may miss the minimum of 2-4 weeks. Dustin McGowan will get another shot at a rotation spot in his absence and will be recalled prior to Thursday's game which would be Chacin's start. The Jays look like they will go with a 24-man roster until then.

You're right that Alou isn't quite spot-on but it's better than the Upright stance so I'll change it for now until someone comes up with something better.

Totte,

You might want to change Willie Harris' first position to LF and his second to UTIL. As long as he plays in Atlanta, he won't be playing regularly at 2B, mostly in LF and occasionally at other infield positions. When he starts it will be primarily in LF.

That works! I know 2 years ago he pretty much did have Alou's stance but he recently dropped the bat down.

Not a good week for Langerhans, he's going to lose self confidence over this.

Shane Victorino has a rocket launcher for an arm. Cheers!

Did you see that throw he made on the fly to the plate from rightfield on the ESPN game wed. night? :pistols:
