Maybe I am missing something... but is Aquilino Lopez somewhere in the Tigers organization. I cannot seem to find him. He is currently on the Tigers roster. Have/did I overlook something?

Thanks

Jays closer BJ Ryan underwent Tommy John surgery earlier in the week and is lost for the rest of the season. For now Jason Frasor is the closer but he has been inconsistent of late so it is more a closer by committee.

Nationals infielder Josh Wilson was claimed off waivers by the Devil Rays on Thursday. Wilson had been designated for assignment by the Nationals on Tuesday.

Good looking out DoubleD. I didn't think that he was traded.

Also... Has A-Rod's contract been fixed? I know on the recent release, he was at like 3 years 3.30 million.

Josh Tower's contract needs to be fixed also it's 1 year at 2.9M not 1/200K like in the newest version

I'll correct that, thanks bro

Did anyone else have any problem with A-Rod's salary cuz he's just fine in my rosters :chin:

Some Jays minor league signings:

3B/UTIL Howie Clark and C Joseph Burke... I know nothing of Burke but he did play in High A for 29 games for the Yankees last season. Clark was in the Jays system and couple of years ago and is basically AAA depth.

Last night (Thursday) on The Score when they discussed the Jays loss, it was mentioned that Jeremy Accardo might get first crack at the job now (given Frasor's troubles) with Casey Janssen and I think Scott Downs also mentioned as fill-ins when Accardo can't go.

Don't hold me to this though, I can't find anything to back it up.

Also, is 8.2 the latest version released?

Yeah 8.2 is the latest version. If you check a couple pages back I think he says May 20th for the next one. 8.2 came out on Opening Day I believe.

Some more transactions:

Cubs released Luke Haggerty

A's re-signed Nick Swisher to a five year extension thru 2011 with a club option for 2012. Terms undisclosed at this point.

Burke is a decent fielder with literally no bat. Don't get your hopes up. :)

There goes the last of the first rounders from that 2002 class.

Jays note:

Roy Halladay was placed on the 15-day DL today with acute appendicitis and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Casey Janssen will most likely move into the rotation now to take his spot. No word on who is recalled from the minors.

AAA RHP Geremi Gonzalez' contract was sold to Japan (Yomiuri Giants) after making 5 starts for Syracuse.

Hmm...guess Gonzalez wasn't doing too good then :)

He was doing OK but the Jays didn't see a reason to remove someone from the 40-man roster to recall him.

Some more Jays notes:

Jeremy Accardo is now the closer with Janssen and Downs and setup men for him. Frasor is now in MR.

C Curtis Thigpen started today at 2B for Syracuse (AAA) which is quite odd. Erik Kratz started at catcher.
