cybernetic
Seattle acquired RP Jason Davis from Cleveland for a PTBNL or cash Jays news: Jesse Litsch has been slated to start Tuesday's game in Roy Halladay's spot. Howie Clark is now in AA New Hampshire. I told you they signed him as a minor league free agent. Jays signed P's Mike Venafro and Andrew Good to minor league contracts and assigned them to Syracuse. I don't know if I mentioned this earlier but Japanese pitcher Yusaku Iriki was signed to a minor league deal a few weeks ago by the Jays and is pitching in Dunedin. Expos4Ever
ok, quick scouting report(from my untrained eye) on Virgil Vasquez, for whoever that cares. Fastball: goes up to 92 2 seamer: 89-90(2-8 movement, movement: 55) curveball: I want to say 74 but I don't really remember, 10-4 movement: 70 changeup: hardly move at all, 83-84mph, 12-6 movement: 40 slider: sucks, 84mph, 11-5 movement: 30 command should be good from his minor league reputation, but he can't locate at all today. Hope this helps.

sfgiantsflgators
Matt Cain update Totte: He throws four pitches...fastball, changeup, curveball, and slider. He can get a strikeout with any of the first three but has just started working on the slider this season. No two-seamer or sinker in his arsenal. He seems to control the curveball slightly better than the other pitches and controls the changeup second best. Fastball velocity is 94-96 and sometimes 97 - it's got movement but I don't know if that's something you can do in MVP. Change is in the 84-86 range with 12-6 drop. Curve and slider both drop in the 12-6 and 11-5 range with the curve having more drastic movement. Curve goes low 80s while the slider seems to hover around 88-90. cybernetic
Sweet, thanks for the quick reply dude Yes.. just Syracuse Chiefs now.. while you're at it I noticed something else to fix... Adam Lind is L/L not L/R... also he has a pretty decent arm from the outfield and already has 3 outfield assists since being called up last month

cybernetic
The Jays have DFA'd INF Jason Smith to make room for Jesse Litsch on the 40-man roster who starts tomorrow. Since they didn't just move Brandon League to the 60-day DL suggests that either they don't think he's done for the year or that they have given up on Smith. They will have 10 days to trade Smith to another team or give him back the Cubs.

Will he be lights out and stick with the big team for the rest of the year or is this just a flirt?
