superciuc
Yesterday Contreras threw a 103 MPH fastball. You should put is fastball velocity a bit higher.

Totte
Yesterday Contreras threw a 103 MPH fastball. You should put is fastball velocity a bit higher. I take it that was from the local tv channel radar gun? I doubt that Contreras is throwing that hard unless he's got the wind blowing in his back... Thanks for the heads-up though. I'm gonna have to look into this...
cybernetic
Just a minor thing: The Indians have sold the contract of RHP Brian Sikorski to the Yakult Swallows of the Japanese Central League Jays notes: 3B/LF Howie Clark has been promoted to Syracuse This is what the current Syracuse roster looks like: Starters: Taubenheim Banks Ramirez Thomson (blister, one start skipped) MacDonald Good (would be LR if Thomson was healthy) Bullpen: Houston (CL) Neal Kemp (suspended) De Jong James Crowell Venafro Wolfe Projected Lineup: Lydon LF Thigpen C Barker 1B Griffin DH Hattig 3B Mottola RF Adams 2B Olmedo SS Duncan CF Bench: Clark (LF/3B) Kratz (C/1B/3B) Hassey (INF/LF) Vento (OF) (DL) Take this roster with a grain of salt since the MLB roster is filled with injuries and close to half the team would be in the minors if they were healthy. Anyway i think you should put his fastball at 97-98 MPH.

cybernetic
Should Casey Janssen still be listed as a SP/RP or the other way around? He's still a starting pitcher despite the fact he's relieving most of this year... the injuries to the bullpen have forced him to stay in the pen since he's been very solid there. Most likely by the end of the year if any bullpen depth is added and is consistent he'll be moved to the rotation, if not then next season. Cleveland/Seattle news: Cleveland received RHP Gregorio Rosario as the PTBNL in the Jason Davis deal from Seattle.
Expos4Ever
Petitioning to have Lincecum's rate upped He looks unhittable despite being somewhat shaky with the control today, heck, he even helped out the RP after him as the Astros were way out of wack after facing him. Hennessey almost never have a 4 strikeout outing, much less in relief pitching only 2 innings. Stuff(should be pretty publicized now) Fastball usually in the 94-95 range, can go up to 98 and was actually pretty consistently in the 96-97 range around inning 4, before he start having control problem and took a few mph off back down to the 94-95 range in the 5th and 6th. Pretty good movement Curve ball is straight nasty around 83-85mph, either a 11-5 or a straight one, since he's purely an over the top guy, I'll say 12-6 changeup looks nasty too when he does throw it, around 86-87(which is some people's fastball), good movement, cause weak swings and strike outs. Go watch his highlights on the Giants website, you'll be impressed too. Again, he was missing pretty bad at times today, but some of those Houston hitters looks like me with a bat trying to hit him today...
kangarooboy78
About the Contreras post, I have never heard of him throwing in the 100s, much less 103pmh....even with the wind at his back. Aardsma, Jenks and MacDougal are the only Sox that throw that hard. Even if it was for one pitch, it isn't worth a ratings bump for him because he normally throws 92 - 96. If anything, the radar gun can pick up the speed of the ball off the bat. Contreras probably threw a 96 mph fastball and the batter hit it and it came off the bat at 103mph. About the Linecum post, 3 Major League starts isn't enough to jack up his stats too much. He might deserve some added movement and velocity to some pitches but wait til teams see him a second time. Plus the Astros aren't exactly the 1 ranked offense. When Kerry Wood struck 20 Astros, their line-up was more potent.

DoubleD
Todd Linden was DFA'd, picked up by the Marlins. Marlin's DFA'd Gall. It's hard to say who should get sent down to make room for Linden (Marlins are currently hit with a ton of injuries, so a lot of AAA players are up atm). Borchard is out of options, so in real life he can't be sent down without being DFA'd. I'm not sure the options on Ross, but if he has option's he'd be sent down. I'm pretty sure Ross doesn't have options though, so likely Borchard will be DFA'd, he's by far the worse non-C position player on the roster. So, I guess just send Borchard down to AAA and release Gall, and see what happens later. Also, I don't know if it's been stated, but chances are leaning to Henry Owens taking the closer job when he comes back from the DL. Kim will likely be a LRP once Josh Johnson comes off the DL. You happy with the Linden pickup? I think it's a good move :wtg: I already have Owens as the closer but I'll see what I can do about the rest. Sending Borchard down and adding Linden to the Marlins 25-man roster seems like a good idea.
DoubleD
I love it, expecially with the injuries we've had. Worse case scenerio, he sucks and DFA him again, and we lose nothing. He's had a very good minor league career, and although so far he's just been an AAAA player, he's also only 26. Plus he can play all 3 OF positions. I really like our bench with him, Ross, Boone, and Amezaga.

Totte
Yeah well the goal is to have them out today as I've said all along but if I feel like I can't get all the edits in there that I want, I'll postpone it until tomorrow night.
Dasda
Totte as much as we want the rosters. I hope all Users will agree that we can wait one more day. So go to sleep man, Also when you say edits are you going to do minor tweaks to Batter ratings and pitchers. I know the formula which is used, is the one EA used originally but how about adding the players current stats to theit 3 year average like EA updates through out the year? Just a thought. Thanks
