evil1182
UR 8.3 (both versions) has been uploaded here at MVPmods will soon be up at EAmods. There's no crashing for me when I run these rosters so I'm hoping for the best for you guys too Once again, I apologise for the delayed release and I hope you'll enjoy the rosters. A new models.big from big shmooz is coming before the end of the week. Great work as always, but why the need for a new models.big I thought those two files kraw posted fixed that? Totte
So wait ... We need a new models.big for UR 8.3? If so, which one do people recommend? Either the MVP07 models.big May update which kraw posted a fix for in this thread like 2-3 pages ago or the new models.big that big shmooz will release within a couple of days. philliesphan18
Ok - thanks. Any recommendation to which one? (I'm not trying to make people choose sides) I was just wondering which one would be simpler to install / modify. Thanks
cybernetic
Just a transaction note: It's being reported (yet not officially announced) that 1B Craig Wilson has signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox. Rotoworld is saying he'll probably head to Charlotte (AAA) to get back his swing but with a roster spot being open right now on the White Sox MLB roster (with Pablo Ozuna on the DL), he may be added right away. Radagast33
Hey Totte - why is it that in the rosters, anytime a player has stolen 30+ bases in a season, it comes up in their career stats as something in the 600's for steals? For example, looking at Reggie Sanders: In 1995 he stole 36 bases and in 1999 he stole 36 bases again. In the career stats, he's listed as stealing 612 bases in each of those seasons. Glancing around I've found this to hold true for all the prolific base-stealers...Jose Reyes, Hanley Ramirez, Scott Podsednik (though curiously, his 70 steal season shows up as such, while the other 2 seasons don't...) Playing/simming a season this doesn't come up, the steals are recorded accurately, it's only in the past "real" seasons. It's not a big deal, just something I was wondering about. Otherwise, the roster rocks! :-)
arossi12
After watching him consistently, Greg Dobbs is way faster than 59 speed. Maybe something in the high 70's, mid 80's. If you check out the May 12 top plays against Chicago, he legs out a shallow double, a triple, and a bunt for a base hit. I'd probably change his stance to Ortiz too, it looks a little closer. DoubleD
Not actual roster changes, but talk regarding a couple minor league players so I figured you might be interested in hearing it Totte. Somebody on a large Marlin's forum I go to talked to a person the Marlin's FO, couple of tidbits -Brett Hayes is less than a year away. Defensively he is ready. If there was an injury to John Baker, he would be next in line. If not this year, we will see him in 2008 if the offense is even remotely adequate. (Brett Hayes is currently in AA. Considering how good Baker is doing, it's unlikely we'll see Hayes this year, but it seems the FO is banking on him being the catcher out of ST next year) -Brett Carroll hasn't looked this good since the day we signed him. He is showing power to all fields and his arm is fantastic. If things continue to progress like they have in CF for the Marlins, Brett will get his chance to shine sooner than later (Carroll is AA earlier this year: .270/.359/.490, 100 ABs. Got called up to AAA, numbers: .333/.373/.651, 4 HRs in 63 ABs. He's still a couple weeks a way, but considering the fact the De Aza is out for awhlie with a fractured foot, it's extremely likely Carroll gets called up if he continues to hit like he's hitting for a couple more weeks). skibz
totte, you're slacking on the accuracy of these rosters. lineups are still wrong from beta, not much has changed from beta from what i've seen. my two cents on the red sox. Julian Tavarez resembles closely on the Glavine delivery as well as Beckett. I changed Coco Crisp's stance to L. Gonzalez because he has a very wide open stance now as well as shouldering his bat. Drew is more of a bent over generic so i just left mine as generic. Soriano does not play center anymore, they've moved him back to left. I guess you could put Matt Murton out in left instead. Frank Thomas has a crouched stance.
