I think you guys might have two programs mixed up. Perhaps Philliesphan is referring to TyWiggins' MVP Editor, rather than MVP Edit?

I was thinking that too

Whoops I think 27 got that one! Which program do I use to edit Ruiz's ratings? I have MVP Editor. Okay, so the situation is the same as before, but the program is MVP Editor not MVP Edit. So I still have no idea what to do!

Thanks 27!

If you wanna edit the ratings within an already started dynasty you use Ty's MVPeditor.

If you wanna fix the ratings outside a dynasty so that changes comes into affect when you start a new dynasty, use MVPedit.

Ty's MVP Editor is the program I am using, and that is the one giving me these error messages. I start up MVP and open my dynasty, then I run MVP Editor and I click on Carlos Ruiz and it gives me this message:

Just as soon as I click on him.

I don't know what it is. Try posting the same screenshot in Ty's thread for that program and see if he knows.

Here are some notes in case you want to bump some ratings for some All Star selections for the Cubs A Daytona's team.

Mitch Atkins, a Midwest League All-Star last year, held the FSL’s fifth-best ERA (1.88) as of May 31. The right-hander is 4-3 this season with 38 strikeouts and 12 walks in 57.1 innings pitched. Atkins has been at his best recently, winning his last two starts while delivering 17 consecutive scoreless innings.

Daytona’s entire starting outfield has also been selected, headlined by Tyler Colvin. A first-round draft pick and the Northwest League’s top prospect last year, Colvin has been rock solid in 2007 as Daytona’s starting center fielder. Colvin leads the league with 39 RBI and ranks second in the FSL with 18 doubles. He also paces the Cubs with 55 hits.

Chris Amador was named an All-Star for the first time in his professional career. Batting from the leadoff spot for much of the first half, Amador has been a dual threat with speed and power. Amador leads Daytona with four home runs and 13 stolen bases.

Matt Matulia rounds out the Daytona All-Star contingency. The scrappy infielder has been versatile in the field, playing shortstop, third base and second base during the first half. Matulia has scored 27 runs and stolen eight bases through May 31. He has also drawn a team-high 28 walks and leads the Cubs with five triples. This is Matulia’s first full professional season. He was drafted last year out of The Citadel in the 24th round

Just to let you know, the UR 8.3 readme crashes everytime I open it. I'm not sure if its my cpu or the file.

That's what I thought.

Very likely

Ok, on Lincecum. I've watch 3 of his starts this year and I've yet to see a slider. It's mostly 65% fastball, 30% curveball and less than 5 changeup a game. I think he scrapped his slider.

On the other side though, his curveball movement is definitely at least a 85 dawg...perhaps 95. Fastball should be 95 or 94mph since he doesn't throw in the high 90s consistently and he does have problem commanding it. On a rough mvp baseball scale I'd rate his pitches.

Curveball-low to mid nineties, control is decent(better than the fastball) but is hardly pin point.

Fastball-high 80s, is fast, has some movement(now that I think about it, you could keep his 4 seamer at 96mph, drop the slider and add a 2 seamer at 93 or 94, I swear I saw a fastball with good 2 seamer movement at 98mph the other day), control needs A LOT of work.

2 Seamer-93 or 94mph, 2 to 8 movement, 60-70 movement, control is shitty, not any better than the straight fastball.(actually, I do fail to notice a consistent velocity drop for him with the 2 seamer compared to the 4 seamer. His velocity fluctuate a bit over a game)

Changeup-movement 30? 40 at best, not sure about control, he doesn't throw it often, but I've yet to see him hang one, he's kept it low pretty well as far as I see. So I'll say curveball control minus 10 points?

Hope this helps. And if you saw a slider from him, I'd like to know which game. Cuz I've been following him since his college days and I haven't heard report of him throwing it in the minors this year and I've yet to see one on TV in the majors.

Coolio dude, stuff noted. I'm gonna watch Lincecum myself in 45 mins against Garcia and the Phils.

one more thing on Lincecum from the residential Lincecum expert(self appointed)

He doesn't hold runners well at all. Pick off should be closer to 30 than 80. As to the delivery, just use the one where he turns his leg(Generic 3), his delivery looks nothing like Oswalt's

TIGERS LINEUP

vs RHP, LHP

Granderson

Polanco

Sheffield

Ordornez

Gullien

Pudge

Casey

Monroe

Inge

That's not accurate against lefties. ESPN.com shows the lineups from the past week here: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/teams/lineup?team=det

It's a little off because of injuries, but it shows that the lineups are a little different against RHP and LHP.

vs. LHP

CF - Granderson (recently moved back instead of Pudge)

2B - Polanco

DH - Sheffield

RF - Ordonez

SS - Guillen

1B - Thames

C - Pudge

LF - Monroe

3B - Inge

Thames has been playing first against lefties for a while now. In fact, he is listed as a first basemen on the Tiger's website.

On another subject, Randy Messenger also throws a splitter. I don't know anything about how good it is but he says he throws one in a MLB.com article.

"Last year I was trying to get a better feel for my slider, and I feel a lot more confident with it this year," he said. "The year before, I was working on my split-finger and got comfortable with that."
