cybernetic
White Sox 3B Joe Crede will undergo back surgery and will likely miss the rest of the season. The team hasn't ruled out his return in September at this point. Tampa Bay has released RP Shinji Mori. He hasn't pitched at all since being signed out of Japan prior to last season due to injury. arossi12
Freddy Garcia is likely done with the Phillies, with a supposed rotator cuff problem. Kyle Kendrick will be called up to start the finale against the White Sox, and Clay Condrey will be the most likely candidate to be DFA'ed. You mean out for the season with an injury or that he's gonna be traded?
cybernetic
Tampa Bay signed RP Jay Witasick and DFA'd RP Ruddy Lugo. Lugo isn't expected to clear waivers. He'll probably be claimed by another team. Pittsburgh purchased the contract of RP Dan Kolb from AAA and DFA'd INF Don Kelly. Toronto's SP Ismael Ramirez cleared waivers after being DFA last week and has been sent outright to Syracuse. As for Tomo Ohka, he still has 5 more days in his DFA. The team is trying to trade him but if they can't by the end of the 10 days he'll probably be released. arossi12
Done? You mean out for the season with an injury or that he's gonna be traded? Nope, done for the season, with a torn labrum and partially torn rotator cuff.
TheNemesis
Maybe it's just me, but I think that there's something off about Alex Rios' batting stance. Right now it's set to Sammy Sosa, but I don't think Rios holds the bat quite as vertically as Sosa does, nor does he crouch the same way. Maybe another Jays fan with better knowledge of batting stances can either confirm or deny this.
cybernetic
Yeah I know... I couldn't really find a stance that's like him. Sosa is about as close as I could find.
skibz
i left rios as alou. sure alou doesn't have the bat wiggle but it's pretty close. now comment on my suggestions on page 1014.
cybernetic
Some transactions to note: Houston signed SP Chan Ho Park to a minor league contract, after being released by the Mets recently. Oakland signed OF Jorge Piedra to a minor league contract. He got released by Colorado in August last season and has been a free agent since. philliesphan18
I've been gone for a bit so I'm not sure what is going on. Here goes: With Big Schmooz's new models.big (KC's unis for me) it says to use UR 8.4 plus final only, I didn't think 8.4 had been released yet. Is this a typo or am I just missing something? Thanks

cybernetic
Sal Fasano has been DFA by the Blue Jays and RP Lee Gronkiewicz has been purchased from AA New Hampshire. With A.J. Burnett expected to miss his next start, it's probably only until then. Whoever is better between him and Jordan De Jong in that span will stay with the club when they call up someone to start for him.
sfgiantsflgators
Not at home so I can't check to see if these guys are in UR - but they were both High-A or higher at the time of their release. lilfisch
Well I hate to report it but... The Tigers backup catcher Vance Wilson had reconstructive surgery yesterday that will keep him out 9-12 months. This was reported during the game today on FSN. I guess it is safe to say that he is done for a while. I would suggest the he be placed in AAA and have Mike Rabelo called up and make his number be 58. Thanks and keep up the good....
