Benitez is no longer FLA's setup man, after blowing another game Fredi Gonzalez is dropping him from the role. Justin Miller is expect to take over in the 8th inning.

Damn, Benitez should just quit, he can't do nothing right.

But it's Yadier Molina's picture and they announce him as Yadier Molina.

You sure that's not in your dynasty and the ChiSox have traded for Yadier? I've checked my old files and Yadier has been on the Cards for a really long time (at least 1 year).

I am using the latest version of Ulitmate Rosters, and after progressing the first few weeks of a new dynasty, I have realised that a lot of CPU controlled teams have very few relievers on their Major League rosters and lots of starting pitchers. I found this by looking at the pitching stats for all MLB teams. Some teams such as the Royals have no relievers at all on their 25 man roster. Playing games or simming games achieves the same result. Hopefully someone knows what to do or what the problem is

Thanks,

With Kim's depature, word on the street is Daniel Barone will get the call up. We won't need a starter for several more days thanks to an offday, so tight now reliever prospect Mauro Zarate will join the club, but Barone is expected to come up once the 5 spot roles around.

I also don't know who you called up in place of Johnson but Rick VandenHurk should take the role.

There's nothing to do about that. It's one of the things EA's missed in their game engine. I've done what I can modding wise to the rosters to prevent this...

I don't have Zarate in my rosters. You got a scouting report on him so I can add him?

Yep, I should have mention that.

My bad. What only way could he have been picked up by the D'backs since the trade deadline has passed :yernuts:

Don't know his repertoire at the moment, currently trying to find it out. But if I can't, I can find out once he pitches for us.

The only thing I've been able to get though is this, which basically just breaks down how he has done at each stop so far this year (in A+, AA, and AAA). Not that useful but alteast gives you the numbers.

Seemingly out of nowhere, right handed relief pitcher Mauro Zarate has had one of the best season’s in minor league baseball this year for bullpen pitchers. Coming off a nice year in Greensboro where he had a 3.19era and .244baa in 79 innings, Zarate started off 2007 in the Florida State League with the Jupiter Hammerheads. He took him just 26 innings to turn heads yet again as he went 2-2 with a 2.42era, .213baa and 20 strikeouts. His next stop was Double A Carolina and he did not disappoint. In 25.2 innings for the Mudcats, Mauro had a 1.40era, .152baa with 32 strikeouts to just 9 walks. He’s made 13 appearance with Albuquerque so far this year and has a 0.96era in 18.2 innings. Opposing hitters are just batting .182 off of him and he has allowed just 1 homerun in the homer happy Pacific Coast League. He’s a combined 3-3 with a 1.66era in 70.1 innings and has a stellar .182baa.

So Mauro gets the call now as the Marlins world has been flipped on it’s collective head within the past few days. Josh Johnson underwent TJ Surgery. Then Reynel Pinto goes on the DL. Then BK Kim goes to Arizona for absolutely nothing. With the Marlins not needing a starter for a few days because of the off day on Monday, Mauro will get a chance to stick before the Marlins have to bring up either Wes Obermueller, Daniel Barone or perhaps even Gaby Hernandez.

Hey Totte, I was wondering did change any of Pedro's ratings? Since he hasn't pitched in a while I think you should lower his ratings, also, guys like Prior, Wood, and Pavano should be lowered.

Quick Suggestion...

Because of Neifi Perez's drug problem, I would place Neifi Perez on AAA (if not lower) and callup Mike Hessman. His number is 25 and his first position is 1B and second is 3B.

*Neifi Perez was suspend 25-30 games for drug problem and while on suspention, he tested positive for drugs and was suspended an additonal 80 games. His days in Detroit are numbered.
