pistonj92
Totte, we've got a code red. You didn't get your e-mail from cheezer. Dave Roberts is currently 6 contact vs Righties when it is supposed to be 68. EDIT: Also, I know this is going to sound like I am plugging my mod. But You didn't update Norris Hopper in the faces so he currently has a white guy 04 face, instead of my 05 face.

metal57
Yeah, that happens to me... I try with a lot of models.big, updated and not updated, and has the same problem... The game crashes after select stadium screen... :wall: But the UR 8.7 works fine... What's the problem?

RaulHuKilledU
I apologize in advance if it's been addressed recently. But I don't want to search through a thousand pages of topics. Is there ever going to be an updated roster for the Xbox ever again? It's frustrating seeing all these updates happening for the PC, and nothing for us Xbox users. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this concern. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

The Big O
What teams do you get crashes with? For me it was all of them. I tried out like 10 or so, different combinations with random teams and different stadiums. All CTD after selecting the stadium...

I got the e-mail from Cheezer and asked him to get back to me with the correct ratings and never got a reply so I forgot to edit that but it's been taken care of. Hopper is in my own models.big and his cyberface ID seems correct for the plus version. Could it just be that you have him at another ID than 480 in your own file? herky
Here are two Cub prospects you might want to add sometime this season if roster space allows. I'll sift through the A-AAA rosters once they are announced to see which guys are no longer in the Cubs organization. Jose Ceda Photos: http://media.scout.com/media/image/44/443796.jpg http://media.scout.com/media/image/42/420103.jpg http://media.scout.com/media/image/38/386866.jpg Baseball America #4 prospect in organization Ht: 6-4 Wt: 230 RP Bats: R Throws: R 11/28/1987 Scouting Report (Cubhub.com) High octane fastball which registered 99 mph on several occasions along with showing flashes of a hard biting slider. He’s got a large frame. Ceda’s fastball usually sits around 94-97 mph but it’s basically straight as an arrow, when he rears back Jose can reach 99 mph without much effort. His slider hits between 83-87 mph with exceptional bite when it is on. On a scouting scale, 20-80, both pitches look to be a 70 with a little bite of further refinement. MLB Comparison: Lee Smith/Jose Mesa. Tony Thomas Photos: http://media.scout.com/media/image/44/446173.jpg http://media.scout.com/media/image/44/445647.jpg Baseball America #9 prospect: Best Hitter for Average (BA tools) Ht: 5-8 Wt: 180 2B Bats: R Throws: R 07/10/1986 Scouting Report (Cubhub.com) Hitting: Thomas has one of the most advanced hitting approaches of anyone drafted last year. He has the uncanny ability to square up on ball and poke it anywhere he wants to with his quick wrists. His swing is level and takes what pitchers give him. Instead of trying to pull outside pitches, Thomas takes it to the opposite field with no questions. He has a great idea on how to work counts, spray the ball around, and use his speed effectively; Thomas has all the good tools to be an above average leadoff hitter for years to come. Power: Tony could take more balls out but it messes with the rest of his game as seen by his July numbers when he tried pulling more balls. When hitting coach Franklin Font noticed this, he pulled Thomas aside, telling him “to do what got him here and not be someone he’s not.†Tony quickly adjusted back to his college days, spraying the ball and taking it back up the middle. That’s when he became one of the most outstanding hitters in the Northwest League. With his quick bat and snapping wrists, Thomas is going to naturally hit out somewhere between 5-10 homers when pitchers make mistakes high in the zone. But don’t worry, what Thomas lacks in power he makes up for with ability to make contact with the ball, often singles up the middle but his gap power allows him to tally up quite of few doubles and triples. Defense: Tony has subpar range at second, has trouble turning two, along with a weak arm. Thomas committed nine errors this season in Boise, that’s a lot for a second baseman in only 46 games. Speed: In terms of the scouting scale of 20-80 for speed, Thomas is about a 65. What he lacks in natural speed he makes up for in amazing basestealing instincts and technique. Tony is unlike that in that he has learned how to make the most out of his quickness by getting amazing reads and jumps off opposing pitchers, running outside routes, and getting an arm down at opertune times. Thomas has shown not only the ability to steal on a hitter’s count with regularity but also in pitcher’s counts. With the combination of his speed and knowledge, he’s a legitimate 30 base threat with a very high success rate. MLB Comparsion: Eric Young
herky
2008 Cubshub Scouting Reports Sam Fuld Photos: http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/45/457487.jpg Hitting: Fuld sprays the ball all around the field, never getting pull dependent. Sam takes advantage of his speed by hitting the ball on the ground and liners. Rarely does Fuld try and put on a power stroke to take the ball out of the park or pull it, instead he takes what the pitcher gives him and works with it. Sam has an amazing eye at the plate, not often does he swing at pitches out of the zone. Fuld also has the uncanny ability to repeatedly foul off pitches and make pitchers work, when he gets two strikes, he chokes up and tries plugging the ball, its not regularly that he strikesout. Sam has all the qualities to be a leadoff hitter in the big leagues. Power: Fuld’s power is determined mostly from his extrabase potential in it dependent upon his speed. The results are seen in his double and triple marks. Sam never tries to take pitchers’ yard or making borderline pitches homeruns, Fuld knows his role as a tablesetter. Instead of going out and trying to drive runners in, he’d rather be the runner that needs driven in. Much of Sam’s hits are either on the ground or liners for basehits or sacrifices for the runner. With two strikes, Fuld goes old school, choking up and concentrating on just making contact. Fuld knows his role and never deviates from it. Speed: One of Sam’s greatest attributes is his speed down the lines. Not only does he have a near 70 speed on a 20-80 scale but he is extremely intelligent on the basepaths. Fuld has an uncanny ability to read pitcher’s motions even if it’s he’s first time seeing them. When Sam gets he’s read right he’s usually dead on. With that skill, Sam might see more and more late inning installments due to his well rounded play. Defense: Fuld’s wheels help him cover all three outfield positions well, his strength though is at center. There he can showoff his ground coverage along with a very strong and accurate arm. Sam has shown the skills at all outlets with running excellent routes and strong outlets. Fuld can play any outfield position with confidence. MLB Comparison: F.P. Santangelo Kosuke Fukudome Photo: http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f189/kct...ukudomeCubs.jpg Hitting: Fukudome has a beautiful stroke with quick wrists that allow him to turn quickly on pitches inside. Kosuke also has the knack for working deep into counts and making the pitcher really work. Those results are seen in his high number of walks, strikeouts, and pitches seen per at bat. Fukudome has a natural loft to his swing and the uncanny ability to sit back on pitches. He’s batting style is very balanced, as he doesn’t put extra weight on either foot. When including that with his stroke, Kosuke is a double’s machine that doesn’t hit towering flyouts. The man is a bizzaro American player, as he’d rather make the pitcher work and hit a single or gap double than flyout deep or swing for a homerun. In terms of hitting left-handed pitching Bob’s Scouting Scale (20-80): 60 Power: Kosuke’s stroke has a natural loft but he isn’t exactly built for homeruns. The stroke, eye, and plate discipline are made exclusively for contact and doubles. Despite playing in the hitter friendly parks of the NL Central, don’t expect more than 20 homeruns. Instead look for a ton of walks (65-85) and a double expectation of anywhere from 30-50. With that in mind, a slugging percentage of over .500 is very unlikely for the Japanese import. Bob’s Scouting Scale: 50 Speed: n the past Kosuke has stolen a few bases here and there but it’s not due to blazing speed. He’s a smart baserunner and gets good jumps when he reads the pitcher. Still don’t expect more than 5-10 stolen bases in the MLB. In the Japan League, stolen bases are often the result of botched hit and runs, and Fukudome is a prime example of that. In the MLB, those risks will be substancially lessened but if the right occasion occurs Lou will give this highly cerebral player the green light. Bob’s Scouting Scale: 60 Defense: Kosuke might not display blistering speed on the basepaths but he gets excellent reads on flyballs while running precision routes. Ideally, Fukudome is a rightfielder, which is what the organization plans on using him as. But if the chips are pressed Kosuke could pass as an average centerfielder especially playing the majority of his games at Wrigley. Besides running excellent routes, Fukudome possesses a very strong and accurate arm. When he knows he doesn’t have a chance at nailing the lead runner, he hits the cutoff man to prevent extrabases. Fukudome is expected to be an above average rightfielder in the National League, covering the Sheffield corner well. There have been a few scouts expressing concern over the brick wall, as Fukudome goes all out on flyballs. Sometimes overextending his coverage thus allowing extrabases or putting himself in harms way. Bob’s Scouting Scale: arm=60, glove=70 MLB Comparsion: Paul O’neill
BCTiger8
Yea, I've been having the same issue as some of the others. Updated model.big and everything but after sele3cting stadium I get a CTD. Cavicchi
This is really weird! pistonj92
This is really weird! I checked the 8.9 beta roster in MVP Edit and found this very strange statistic with Shelley Duncan: HR vs. L =9 HR vs. R=10 A-ROD is HR vs. L=6 HR vs. R=9 8OThat is home run percentage. And per at bat, shelley has almost hit as many HR as a-rod. However, I agree he needs to be tewaked down, after running him through the rating generator and with my tweaking, I suggest 7 vs L. and 8 vs R. Totte ALSO: I didin't know if you knew this, but the standard edition I sent you works in-game. If that helps you at all.

pistonj92
But yeah the reason I said that the UR 9.00 I sent you before you made the preperations before beta is because I thought it would help you so you could see what you might have done to make these rosters not work in-game.
