Totte
But yeah the reason I said that the UR 9.00 I sent you before you made the preperations before beta is because I thought it would help you so you could see what you might have done to make these rosters not work in-game. Also the fantasy draft/doubles problem is fixed by making the players on the all-star team hidden. pistonj92 is right, I did release this to see what eventual bugs there was in the rosters (hence the name beta). I will however not have the chance to fix the problem and release a new one as I'm going on vacation early Wednesday morning and I'm working the whole day tomorrow. Keep the changes coming though, it'll make the real 9.0 coming in mid-April be rock-solid! On a side note, my internet access will be limited during my 1 month vacation so don't get upset if you don't get a reply from me on a pm or e-mail :)
Cavicchi
That is home run percentage. And per at bat, shelley has almost hit as many HR as a-rod. However, I agree he needs to be tewaked down, after running him through the rating generator and with my tweaking, I suggest 7 vs L. and 8 vs R. Totte ALSO: I didin't know if you knew this, but the standard edition I sent you works in-game. If that helps you at all. How are you basing Duncan's HR percentage? He hasn't played one full season yet! And you want to rate his percentage same as A_ROD? 9+6=15 and 7+8=15 Anyway, that Duncan rating does not make any sense to me at all. However, maybe you don't understand it is just a home run percentage, while it factors, i believe power, factors way more in-game. I will have Totte or evil make it 4 against lefties and 6 against righties. If you are playing in-game, I believe A-rod hits at least twice the HR's
Cavicchi
I don't know what HR percentage does in the game, but it may be a factor in how the player progresses?
hmsrenown
I don't know what HR percentage does in the game, but it may be a factor in how the player progresses? I think HR% does something like when you just hit for contact, pull/slap, hit for power, the chance to hit a homer in doing that or something. I think it factors in player progress, but exact mechanism I do not know
pistonj92
I think it has to do with simulation. Maybe not
Cavicchi
Is Dustin Pedroia of the Red Sox really Awesome? A guy hitting 8 home runs and batting .317? I think Lots would be more appropriate at best.

pistonj92
*In comes 3rd party* Yes Cavicchi Dustin Pedroia is. The star rating is about potential, And this is just me, but winning the Rookie of the year shows a boat load of potential.
hmsrenown
Pedroia has good glove work to go with the high average, he has enough power to crack double digits in HR but that's about it, he can steal about 7 bases, but that's about it for now. He got a good skill set but not as awesome as many people claims him to be
dewback
uhh ya he is, get a clue Hes very overrated. Cano is better than him anyways.
BigRog
Hes very overrated. Cano is better than him anyways.Pedroia's Rookie of the Year vs Cano's 05 second place finish for Rookie of the Year. I'm not shooting Cano down because I do believe he is a good athlete but I expect Pedroia to produce more in his career (looking at all aspects of the game) then Cano. kgbaseball
It's ridiculous to compare the two. Cano is the FAR superior talent. Pedroia should be a solid regular for quite awhile. Cano has the potential to put up MVP numbers.

Given Pedroia's potential and what he's achieved so far, I think the "awesomeness" is very much right. I'll reconsider Cano

lilfisch
Thought this was funny... Crystal to sign with Yankees Billy Crystal will get to “look mahvelous†in pinstripes. The actor will sign a one-day, minor league contract with the New York Yankees and play in Thursday’s exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Crystal, an avid Yankees fan, will work out with the team on Wednesday and will wear uniform No. 60 for the game—to be played one day before his 60th birthday. The Yankees said Monday they have the approval of baseball commissioner Bud Selig. “I’ve been waiting 50 years for this call,†Crystal said in a statement released by the team. “I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of the Yankees and commissioner Selig. I know this’ll be tougher than the Broadway Softball League, but I’m looking forward to helping the younger players, which by the way is all of them. Oops, I have to go, Scott Boras is on the phone.†Yankees manager Joe Girardi, after Monday night’s 4-0 win over Cincinnati, said he hasn’t determined what position Crystal will play. pistonj92
Why would you reconsider Cano when you have him as Awesome? I think you should reconsider Pedroia. Potential? Lots at best but not Awesome in my book. He won the rookie of the year, he batted .317 doing it. So you have to be a power hitter to not have awesome in your mind. So Ty Cobb=Lots Tony Gwynn=Lots Ichiro=Lots Or is it the logo on his chest?
Kopitar57
I would take a second baseman's Defense over his Offense any day Robinson Cano: 5.22 Range Factor (Third Best among 2B in MLB) Dustin Pedroia: 4.88 Range Factor (Second Worst among 2B in MLB) 2007 EQA: Cano: .277 EQA Pedroia: .277 EQA 2007 OPS+: Cano: 120 Pedroia: 112 And Pedroia may become the better hitter someday, but at the moment, you must never underestimate Cano's ability. He's a pretty good player.
