Yeah I want to know too---when are the next set of rosters going to come out? I can't wait!

Seriously, WTF is taking them so [naughty word] long....just slap the names on fake players. Gosh, I can't even start a franchise yet.

I don’t know who you guys are or what your problem is, but you just need to wait. MAN, I'M JUST GONNA BLOW!

bby needs a couple forties....after he is done.

I need them just to get through the first inning of one of Lowry’s starts. Throw some strikes, Noah. Or you can take your 2 L’s, along with your 2 giraffes, 2 elephants, 2 lions…and hop in your Ark to Fresno. See it you can hit the broadside of a real-life barn there.

(changes, additions and deletions in bold, words in quotes directly from scouting source)

MLB- Minnesota

Put Silva back in rotation and moved Gassner to AAA-Rochester

Crain- decreased control on 4-seam, increased curve and change, added 2-seam (throws straight and tailing fastball, ala Colon)

Guerrier- decreased control on 4-seam, increased slider

Lohse- this guy was a 5+ ERA starter, decreased control on 4-seam, change and slider, changed traj. on change

Mays- lowered 4-seam 2 mph, control and made to tail, deleted 2-seam, increased control on curve, decreased slider

Mulholland- decreased control on 4-seam, 2-seam, change made to fade

Nathan- increased curve and slider, deleted 2-seam

Radke- decreased control on 4-seam a tad, made to tail, deleted 2-seam, “…throws a short, cutter-like slider…â€,â€â€¦throws a short, late running slider that is more a cut fastball…â€, so I changed slider to a cutter, decreased c. change, increased curve and lowered 3 mph

Rincon- “Basically he’s a two-pitch pitcher with good command…â€,â€throws his fastball at 90-95 mph and his slider at 85-88.†deleted cutter and change, increased slider

Romero- opposite reliever of Rincon with a wide array of pitches, increased 2-seam, slider, change and curve, decreased 4-seam

Santana- right now his c. change is the best in baseball, so rated 99, decreased fastball 2 mph and some control, decreased slider a tad, deleted 2nd change at same speed, increased cutter

Silva- decreased control on 4-seam and made to tail, increased mov’t on change, changed curve to slurve, it’s either a sinker or sinking 2-seamer not both, in this case it’s a sinker, deleted 2-seam

MLB- Yankees

All kinds of questions for this team’s pitchers. I’ll ask them and attempt to answer them.

Brown- What kind of pitcher is he? 4.50-5.00 ERA. When was the last time he threw 95 mph? 2002. lowered 4-seam to 91 mph. When is the last time he threw a straight ball? Never. Made 4-seam tail. He throws a sinker and a “sinking 2-seam fastball They are one in the same, the sinking 2-seam. deleted sinker, increased control on change, decreased slider.

Gordon- So what, Rivera taught him his cutter? That’s funny, no scout has noticed. deleted the cutter, increased control on overhand curve and slider

Johnson- When did Randy throw 98 mph? So I’m supposed to believe the gun at Yankee Stadium or the YES Network at sub-90 mph? Wrong. Lowered to 95 mph. Changeup? His split is his changeup. Grab a mic and ask him. deleted change, upped 2-seam a tad along with the splitter, lowered the control on slider

Karsay- lowered 4-seam 3 mph and control, increased curve changed 2-seam to split

Mussina- lowered control on 4-seam, Two curves? Just the knuckle curve. changed curve to “circle change that fades down and away from right handersâ€, changed cutter to slider and increased, increased control on 2-seam

Pavano- changed sinker to split and decreased control, increased control on slider, increased change a tad

Quantrill- “throws 2 pitches: a fastball in the upper 80s with sinking action (2-seam) and a sliderâ€, deleted change, decreased 2-seam

Rivera- he throws 2 pitches: 4-seam cutter and tailing 2-seam (which he finally went back to against Boston when throwing to the likes of lefties like Nixon, who would sit on and time the cutter), NO straightball. Made 4-seam tail like the 2-seam, and left the cutter but decreased a tad.

Rodriguez- he throws a straight hard fastball, slider and occasional change, changed 2-seam to change, increased slider, 90+ rated 4-seam? No. lowered control on 4-seam

Stanton- No, No, No. Increased 4-seam 3 mph and control, change made to fade, deceased control on curve, changed garbage cutter to true slider and added splitter

Sturtze- like Quantrill, around 5.00 ERA bullpen guy, lowered control on 4-seam, decreased splitter and cutter

Wright- again the sinker is a “naturally running 2-seam fastball that gets good sinkâ€, deleted sinker, increased curve, lowered control on 4-seam, “throws a split-fingered-changeâ€, swapped change for split with similar speed.

Claussen-added tail to 4-seam, increased speed of slider

Graves-decreased speed of fastball, decreased mov’t on change and slurve

Hancock-didn’t touch

Harang-decreased control on curve, slider and 4-seam, substituted splitter for cutter

Mercker-changed change to circle and increased mov’t and control, made curve a cutter and slurve a slider

Milton- decrease slightly control on curve, changed 2-seam to cutter

Ortiz-changed change to circle, decreased control on fastball

Valentine-increased fastball velocity by 3 mph

Wagner-increased control on slider, made 4-seam tail, decreased control on change

Weathers-made sinker speed of fastball and vice versa, gave 4- seam tail

Weber-made sinker his fastball speed (ala Weathers above), decreased control on change, made slider a slurve

Wilson-decreased mov’t on splitter, made slider a cutter, decreased 2 mph on fastball

“His slider is a true cut fastball w/ quick running actionâ€

Millenium, there's no way to prove it, but all my buddies and I said as smart as Beane is, he kept the wrong pitcher Zito (over Hudson and Mulder) and the wrong infielder in Chavez (over your SS). Enjoy watching that ball of energy for the next 5 years or so. He's a gem! Foulke meet Miguel, Miguel meet Foulke, with a HR! Time for that nasty Sh!t Ryan throws.

Buddy Carlyle has a fastball, a tailing fastball, a change, and a curve. Pretty decent command of an over-the-top curve that has pretty decent break. Both his offspeed stuff land in the 70's range, while his fastball tops at 92. [source: game footage]

I can confirm that Gagne's "Vulcan" change grip is more akin to a circle change grip since the movement on it is that much greater. But he can throw it with the velocity of a straight change, yet it's got the movement of a circle change.

xstrykr,

Great first post! I'll use that stuff for Carlyle when I get to him. I will always use all suggestions.

Oops, fixed now.

The previous post is fixed and here's the link also.

Reminder to Yankees fans:

I don't put much stock in downward projections for guys like Big Unit, The Rocket, Moyer, etc. who just defy the hand of time. But I do take into effect the 1/2 run rule when going from NL to AL. That's why I like Johnson around ~3.20 ERA. I did the same for Wells and the vice versa for Pedro.

John Rocker has been imported...we just can't give him his real appearance since his face is no longer in the game. You'll have to request a John Rocker cyberface from one of the face modders.

MLB- Milwaukee

Adams- lowered 4-seam 2 mph, made to tail like 2-seam (no straight ball), changed 2-seam to changeup, changed slider to slurve

Adams has a 4-seam and a slider

Bottalico- his repertoire was bigger than what’s given but don’t confuse that with more effective added change, changed 2-seam to slider, lowered 4-seam control and 2 mph, made to tail

Bottalico has a 4 seam, change and a slider

Capuano- 88 rated fastball? For 5.00 ERA? No. his fastball looks and sounds straight, lowered control and 2 mph, lowered change by 3 mph to increase differential, changed 2-seam to slider, added curve

Capuano has a 4 seam, change, cutter, slider. He has a great fastball with good movement

Davis- look at his stats, this guy is good. increased 4-seam 2 mph and control a tad, increased change and made to fade, increased curve and control of cuter

Davis has a 4 seam, curve, cutter, change. His fastball is kinda slow. He's a finesse pitcher. His control is average as he walks alot and works deep into counts.

De la Rosa- decreased 4-seam 2 mph and control, increased change

De la rosa has a 4 seam, change and slider. His fastball is mid 90's and control is getting pretty good. He should be a relief pitcher with about 60-65 stamina. He should also be a 3 or 4 star prospect. He's 24 and has some awesome minor league numbers.

Glover- So this guy with 3 starts in ’04 and ERA in AAA around 6 or 7 has a 90 rated fastball? Say what? significantly lowered 4-seam, lowered control on curve and slider

Glover has a 4 seam, slider and change. He's like a right handed poor man's Davis. His control is pretty average, but throws harder than Davis.

Obermueller- 6.00 ERA in 20 MLB starts in ’04 warrants a high 80s 4-seam? No breaking balls? Lowered 4-seam a lot, made to tail and deleted 2-seam and added slider and curve

Obemueller has a 4 seam, slider, splitter and a fork ball. He's a decent pitcher, but had 2 really bad outings last season that inflated his numbers. He's in long relief right now, but should have about a 70-75 stamina. His hitting should be upped as he is also a pinch hitter. He hit .385 last year with 15 pinch hits. He crushed a double to the wall vs the Cards tonight.

Phelps- 4.50-5 ERA back of the bullpen kind-of-guy, 85 rated fastball is too high, lowered 4-seam, increased curve and slider, change made to fade

This guy is below average.

Santos- just watched this guy shut Giants down (doesn’t mean I rated him on this one start), increased 4-seam 3 mph and lowered control, changed slider to “overhand†curve, added sinker, increased split and change

Santos has a 4 seam, sinking 2 seam, splitter, slider, change

Sheets- I’ve read and watched, watched and read, I just don’t see the 2 fastballs. He has three pitches from what I see, two that are awesome (4-seam and curve) and one that is very good (change). Made his curve 96 rated, 4-seam 95 and change 85 or so. That’s his repertoire from what I can tell. Try to sit on one and hope you’re right. Otherwise, grab some pine, Meat.

That's about right. He does throw a 2 seam, but only threw it maybe 3 times this season.

Turnbow- he’s bad (5.00 ERA bullpen guy), but not that bad. 2 mov’t on change and 2-seam? Increased change, curve and 2-seam, decreased control on 4-seam.

Turnbow has a 4 seam and a curveball. He's actually not bad. He's now the Brewers closer and has been lights out. His fastball gets up to 97-98 and has great control on it. His curve is very average, and not much control. He's strictly fastball.

Wise- changed slider to slurve, made 4-seam to tail, increased curve and change

Wise has a 4 seam, change and curve.

Quick update after tonight's GORGEOUS Oriole's game:

Steve Reed - Throws around 85 mph. All he throws in terms of fastball is that 2-seam sinker. Does not throw straight at all. Slider/Slurve was around 74. No change-up in site, but Palmer mentioned he has it.

Todd Williams - DEFINITELY throws only a 2-seamer/tailing fastball, with an okay breaking pitch. Does not throw a 4-seam straight fastball. His 2-seamer doesn't dive as much as Reed's does, more of a diagonal drop than Reed

Oh yeah, and the update for Yankee and Red Sox fans: O's are in first place, we are legit this year. BoSox getting sweeped tomorrow, thank you, come again.

Millennium---The problem with guys who don't throw a 4-seamer and MVP Baseball is they don't mix...Every pitcher has to have a 4-seamer in the game...I'll wait and see if BBY has a solution for Reed and Williams as well as get his take on the Brewers suggestions...

I thought he was just puttnig movement on the 4-seamers. That's what I was going for.

Magglio Ordonez will undergo hernia surgery day and miss eight to 12 weeks. I beleive if my calculations are correct that this fits into the injury rule and would put ordonez down to triple a or double a. I beleive in the rosters jason smith is still in triple a he should probably be called to take maggs' spot because in reality he is in the majors.

Little bit more bullpen shakeup for the cubs. Now they arnt just swapping closers everyday.

Cubs recalled RHP Roberto Novoa from Triple-A Iowa.

Cubs optioned RHP Jon Leicester to Triple-A Iowa.

Indians signed LHP C.C. Sabathia to a two-year, $17.75 million contract extension through 2008. Contract details directly from rotoworld

The new deal also guarantees his $7 million option for 2006. Sabathia, who would have been eligible for free agency after next season, will make $8.75 million in 2007 and $9 million in 2008. Performance incentives based on high finishes in the Cy Young balloting can increase his salary by $2 million-$3 million each year.

And also its sad to see him go but the Indians announced the retirement of RHP Paul Shuey.

!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how we are finishing off the rosters:

All AAA and AA players will be made, All top 10 prospects will be made, there will be no fake players. A ball will be the fall off from AA and prospects. Not all teams will have 100 players, most won't.

This is because of all the restrictions MVP has. Total players, no DL to put players on, only 1 level of a ball.

right now there are about 10 teams with no fakes.

So when are we going to finally get these rosters? It feels like it's taking forever! Can't you guys speed it up just a tad? God. And my Devil Rays better have all 100 players or I'm going to be mad and consider not downloading the rosters. But I will anyway. But I'll still be mad!
