HypnoxXx
I wasnt even sure Johnston was hurt, I thought he was just down in AAA...as for Burnett and Van Benschoten, they're out for the year (aka McClendon probably won't be the one deciding where to put them :!: )
stalsy2310
so is that 24/30 tweaks and we still got 21/30 teams done with MLB,AAA,AA,A and all top 10 prospects?
HypnoxXx
Yep...we're now accepting bets on who finishes first between llcmac and bbythepier. Right now, the odds are about even. I'd cut these guys a break though, for real. I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying my new, laid back position of data entry, error checking and transaction applying. When I did AAA and imported/created 400 some odd guys to get 1.0 off the ground, I was ready to strangle someone...And now llcmac is making 200-300 guys a day to finish up AA AND A and bby is researching everything you could ever know about 30-50 pitchers a day (He can tell you Jose Mesa's blood type now)...One thing's for sure, if we didn't love baseball and playing a damn good baseball game, we sure as hell wouldn't have done all this. With that said, at this current rate, I am going to go ahead and say that version 2.0 of Ultimate Rosters will tentatively be done (not 100%, mind you, by done I mean thoroughly tweaked ML pitchers and 100% real players all the way up and down the board, even if all AA and A teams still dont have 25 players) on/by May 6th. With this post, neither llcmac, bby or myself will even acknowledge any "when will it be done" posts. Mark your calendars and do whatever you can to help us finish. bbythepier
Damn, I knew I didn't read that note right. I'l go back and put White and Williams back on Pittsburgh and do their tweaks. MLB- San Diego Eaton- First of all, this guy gives you 33 starts and 200 innings and has a durability of 1/15 and Chan “Ho-mpty Dumpty†Park can’t give you that in 3 years and he has a durability of 12/15? Huh? I would switch those numbers, grab another beer, and feel good about it. Even patiencelessjoe and his posse of bbythepier haters have to scratch their heads on that one. When you get tired of EA’s “Fantasy†Numbers, feel free to join me over here in RealityLand. So the 4.50 ERA deserves the 90 + rated 4-seam?, decreased control on 4-seam, increased control on curve Hammond- Went back on my word. This guy has the Moyer “slow and slower†changes, so gave him both, you have to throw somewhat hard to throw a slider, changed slider to circle change, increased curve Oh yeah, let me know when you find the “shot put†delivery and give it to this guy Hoffman- Fastball, curve, and great change, changed slider to curve, decreased change a tad Lawrence- no straightball, made 4-seam tail, decreased control on 4-seam and 2-seam, made change fade Linebrink- So I’m supposed to ignore this guy 1 WHIP. Increased speed on 4-seam and increased all pitches, since 4-seam made to tail I changed 2-seam to his change May- “Fastball, curve, slider, change†everywhere I see, no sinking action to fastball, deleted 2-seam, changed sinker to slider Otsuka- his split is his change of speeds but he does throw a curve so change to curve Peavy- He throws a fastball with natural “boring†action just do to whip delivery, made 4-seam tail good and deleted sub-par 2-seam (this helps in getting his ERA down because it eliminates an inferior pitch), increased curve and slider Redding- How’s this guy working out for you Padre fans? Decreased him all around do his near 6.00 ERA last year. Reyes- he’s not THAT good, decreased control on 4-seam, decreased mov’t on curve, increased control on change and changed 2-seam to his “short slider†Seanez- So a 3.50 ERA middle relief guy has a 4-seam rated the same as Harden? Wrong. Decreased 4-seam and increased change Williams- made his 4-seam “bore†which allowed me to change his 2-seam to his slider, decreased the other pitches a tad Find Padre tweaks and 4 season sims here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=padres6kl.jpg Find bbythepier’s “outliers†in HR department here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=corrections5cc.jpg
bbythepier
BBY, your baseball knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I don't agree with everything you say, but, your thoughts always appear to come across as unbiased and well researched. Thanks rsump, I must be a good liar. No, I just don't put my blinders on. Do you really think I don't know Barry did 'roids? Or his head just decided to grow naturally in his late 30s? Yeah right. I'm a fan, just not a blind one. I'm going back one day and catching up on posts and run across this one and think to myself, "What a jack@ss". It was my own post Even I don't believe my sh@# sometimes. myk13
i live in san diego and a big padre fan, and redding is not working out haha, and i going to padre games and watching them all the time, chris hammond does not use a shot put so just leave him at how he is in the game for now because that looks good. Seems pretty accurate for your tweaks..did you lower hoffmans velocity on his fastball? He struggles to hit high 80's with that pitch. edit - saw your tweaks, trevor's fastball looks about right, keep up the good work... just a question, whoever did padre minors, is travis chick in their? Are you guys adding pictures to these players as well..cuz if u are  very nice

Millennium
bby 0 Your comments about Mora are absurd. He is going to hit 80+ this year, even with the late start. I think he should be maxed out. I do, however, think his fielding could be addressed, seeing as he is only 1 of 2 3rd baseman with no errors this year, and has some great fielding numbers since late last year at third. jbmagicfan
New York Yankees Chien-Ming Wang - Starting Pitcher Yankees recalled RHP Chien-Ming Wang from Triple-A Columbus. Wang will make his major league debut Saturday against the Blue Jays. Colter Bean - Relief Pitcher Yankees optioned RHP Colter Bean to Triple-A Columbus. Bean allowed one run in two innings in his lone appearance for the Yankees. St Louis Cardinals Kevin Jarvis - Relief Pitcher Cardinals purchased the contract of RHP Kevin Jarvis from Triple-A Memphis. Jarvis, who had allowed four runs -- two earned -- in 23 innings for Memphis, will get work as a long reliever on the rare occasions the Cardinals need one. Hector Luna - Second Baseman Cardinals optioned infielder Hector Luna to Triple-A Memphis. Surprisingly, manager Tony La Russa decided early on that Abraham Nunez was his primary backup infielder, making Luna an afterthought. When that turned out to be the case, Luna should have been sent down immediately. He had received just 11 at-bats.
MVPlover
I just wanted to tell you that EA's version of Tadahito Iguchi of the White Sox in their latest roster update is more accurate than the one you guys are using. Iguchi doesn't look as Asian as the Ichiro face you are currently using for him and he is also alot bigger physically. Also, Iguchi's stats are a bit more realistic in EA's version (i.e. 80 speed). EA seems to have gotten Iguchi down perfectly in the new roster update. Here's a copy of EA's Xbox roster update in case you want to import their version of Iguchi to use on your rosters... Latest EA Xbox Roster Update with Tadahito Iguchi =============================================== Also, the White Sox signed 1B/3B Greg Norton and he is playing for the Charlotte Knights... http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/p...um=&id=5687Latest News Apr. 24, 2005 - 11:05 pm et White Sox signed infielder Greg Norton to a minor league contract. He's back with the team that drafted him in 1993. Additional injuries might someday put Norton back on the White Sox bench, though it's very unlikely he'd have fantasy value once there. Norton is currently on the Colorado Rockies' AAA team, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, in your roster set. Also, Enemencio Pacheco (of the AA Birmingham Barons) was released. abacusand13south
Now before anyone says anything, NO I am not a huge rockies fan I just see a few things that need corrected on there team. Im going to use garret atkins as the player which I base these suggestions off of since I know for a fact he has been edited because i originally suggested he be edited. Lets start with quite possibly the hottest player in baseball right now. Clint Barmes, EA actually spelled his name correctly this year, last year in the game they had his name as barnes. Ok barmes does play half his games in coors field but still needs an offensive over haul. Barmes has a career average of .349 with 6 career homers 11 doubles and 1 triple. At coors he is hitting .424 with 4 homers and 7 doubles, on the road he is .263 with 2 homers 4 doubles and 1 triple. Here is line at triple a last year. .328 average with 16 homers (one more than atkins) and 42 doubles (one less than atkins). Currently in the rosters he is easily the worst player on the rockies and all of triple a is better than him except andy tracy. Links to his career stats and to his triple a season last year. To get all the specifics for any formulas you guys may be using now. Career http://sports.yahoo.com/mlbpa/players/7231...mp;type=Batting Triple a http://www.baseballamerica.com/cgi-bin/sta...l?player=barmes Now on to one player whom I really think is going to be a beast when the rockies let him loose. Brad Hawpe, first of all his stance in the rosters is just horrible I use the the generic stance for him since his default just sucks. Career major league average .273 but is not like the usual rockie his career away average is .305 while he hits just .235 at home. He has so much power potential its not even funny and that is without taking coors field into effect. He has 6 major league homers and they are split at 3 on the road and home. Last year in triple a he hit .322 with 31 homers in 345 at bats, to give some comparison atkins only hit 15 in exactly 100 more at bats. Links to his career stats and triple a season below. Career http://sports.yahoo.com/mlbpa/players/7322...mp;type=Batting Triple a http://www.baseballamerica.com/cgi-bin/sta...pl?player=hawpe Also Barmes could use a little boost on defense prior to this year I had seen several reports about how his glove is above average and anything above average on offense is a plus. In the rosters his defense is horrible. Hawpe might need a defensive boost as well he commited only 3 errors in 86 games in the outfield in triple a and was also relatively new to the outfield being that he was originally a firstbasemen. abacusand13south
llcmac, I will take the indians, and also unless someone else wants them the rockies to, since I watch alot of colorado springs triple a games im somewhat familiar with there system.
