I can help out with the White Sox, can't guarantee how much descriptive info I'll be able to get for their minor league teams, but I will exhaust all possible research options in getting you feedback for them...

I'll take the bucs. whew! that was a close one, i probably barely got that claim in. :)

Also, Bby, i'm watching the giants hit redman all over the place early in tonights game. I think the pirates strategy is to tire out the opponents by allowing them to run around the bases hoping to wear teams out and catch them off-guard at the end if they are not down by 6 or more runs. Anyways here is what i found on Mesa:

Pitching

Mesa began using all of his pitches again last season after relying almost entirely on his fastball during his dreadful 2003 season with Philadelphia. He relied on his split-finger pitch more and also gave hitters more to think about by mixing in curveballs and sliders. Mesa also made a mechanical adjustment in spring training with the help of pitching coach Spin Williams and improved his velocity to as high as 97 MPH, though his fastball usually sat at 93-94 MPH. Mesa has a tendency to tire easily and the Pirates were careful with him, allowing him to pitch more than one inning just twice in 2004.

A couple of other pirate fan sites that i frequent also discuss his splitter as his second most effective pitch. to be honest with you, i haven't had the opportunity to see mesa much this year and haven't heard anything about him dropping that pitch but i doubt from what i've read that he would drop that pitch from his repertoire.

I can provide some help with the A's and Twins, but I'm no bbythepier. I do read Baseball Prospectus religiously, so I think I can be of some use. PM me if/when you need the assistance, otherwise I might just randomly drop in some stuff.

i noticed while playing with the mets that victor diaz should be a little darker in skin tone...dont know if it can be done but thats how he appears...also heard on ny radio that mo vaughn has been working out and may try comeback in A.L. (he could be imported to f.a. list)...also fred mcgriff calling teams trying to gauge interest in his services.

gcurrier2004,

I was watching the same game... what a great performance by Doc!

I heard Jerry Howarth mention on the radio broadcast that Doc did drop the splitter, but is still throwing a sinker. I think his repertoire should be:

4 seamer - tops out at 94-95

cutter

curve

sinker

change

HypnoxXx

also could you import marlon anderson's face pic to replace the blank face that is currently used. (i know he had a face pic in 2004 with the cards)

Face pic? You mean portrait? If so, we don't do portraits. We just make sure they have audio/photo IDs so that when you download someone's portrait, it will show up in the game. Marlon Anderson does have a photo/audio ID so whenever a Marlon Anderson portrait is released and you download it, you'll have him. As for Barry Bonds--his portrait has already been put up on the site for download.
