Millennium
I agree with the lowering of the contact ratings and maybe even power but I frequently hear that Newhan is up there in speed with BRob maybe even faster. Maybe speed in the low-mid 80's(Brob's SPD rating is like 88 ) with 14/15 baserunning, or do you think his speed is still unproven from the lack of sufficient playing time this year? I think he very well could be low-mid 80's, but he doesn't play enough to see it. I figured with a good baserunning rating coupled with mid-high 70's should give him enough to steal. A lot of it is just flat out hustle, as well.

gordgraff
Hey all I'm extremely anxious to have these beautiful rosters done, so i'd like to help as much as I can. I've noticed that no-one has taken the reigns of the Cincinatti Red's organization yet, so i'll gladly take them. If someone could send me the rosters file as they are now i'll get started asap. Thanks Gord
jhath
bby.... somethin i found on espn.com you might wanna know... • Phillies closer Billy Wagner allowed zero runs in April, even though his fastball has averaged in the mid-90s instead of the upper 90s, the way it used to. The big reason, according to one NL executive: "He's got a much-improved breaking ball. He's throwing it more. He's throwing it for strikes. And he's got better bite on it. He's turned it into a real weapon." Phillies GM Ed Wade told the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jim Salisbury last week not to read anything into the fact that the Phillies haven't talked about an extension for Wagner, who can be a free agent after this season. But one friend of Wagner says it's unlikely he'll be back in Philadelphia unless the Phillies win. Wagner's first two choices, the friend says, are the Nationals and Braves, because of their closeness to his home in Virginia.

Dan05
I'd like to help look over the Cardinals' roster, but I don't know enough about the minor league guys to contribute much. I looked at what was done with the Cards pitchers and it looks amazingly accurate. One thing I noticed in tonight's game though was that Ray King threw a change-up. It was 78 mph. It didn't move much, just had a little drop at the end.
knich
I am not sure if this has been addressed but Randy Johnson only has 3 pitches (4-seam, slider (slightly better), and not so good splitter. Thanks for your great work!
HypnoxXx
Update on our Progress All 30 organizations are 100% real, top to bottom, thanks to the tireless work of llcmac this past week and a half. All ML and AAA teams, naturally, have 25 players. The AA and A teams will vary, between 22-25 players apiece. All major league pitchers have been tweaked, courtesy of BBY's great scouting. Currently being done: I am simming several seasons and checking for a few things... (A) Bad HR totals (either too high or too low) ( Players being called up who in my opinion really shouldn't be this year © If any free agents are being signed regularly through a few sims. I will adjust ratings as necessary for all players who fall under these categories, but given the nature of the game, I can tell you now that these kinds of discrepencies will always happen, no matter how much we tweak and adjust. Also, Hory is still cranking out the IDs for CAPs. As of now, he has 7 teams to go, and if he is still a team or two shy by Friday we WILL DELAY THE RELEASE. We feel it is imperative that all players have IDs, so that you'll be all ready once/if a portrait is released for them. I ask all roster testers to work diligently and at a decent pace as their work is necessary for the release of these rosters. If you have been assigned the task of checking for errors for a team, make SURE you get a copy of the rosters by tomorrow from llcmac, because you will only have Wednesday and Thursday to double check appearance, equipment, numbers and birthdays. llcmac and I would appreciate the lists of fixes from you guys by thursday night. Please send them to both of us, as we do not know yet who will be working on the rosters at that time. The rosters really do look great, and I'm looking forward to sharing them with all of you. Especially those of you who have been very understanding, supportive and helpful to us.

MVPlover
There's one more prospect that you need to create for the White Sox AAA Charlotte Knights. His name is Pedro Lopez and he was recently called up to replace 1B Ross Gload on the roster for a couple weeks. Lopez is supposed to have an awesome glove but his bat isn't too impressive. He is like a young Ozzie Guillen -- Gold Glove potential but a weak bat. Baseball America ranked Lopez as the White Sox 9th best prospect and their best defensive infielder. Pedro Lopez's Minor League Totals: http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/pedro_lopez.shtml Scouting Report on Pedro Lopez: http://www.futuresox.com/modules.php?name=...icle&sid=39 Full Name: Pedro Lopez Number: #62 Position: First position - SS | Second position - 2B Height: 6'1" Weight: 160 pounds Bats: Right Throws: Right Born: 4/28/1984 Birthplace: Moca, Dominican Republic
McCarroll21
If he's the 9th best prospect he's most likely been added in llmac's most recent wave of creating guys. Have you guys made any changes to the prospects that were in 1.0? Or better yet, bby I know you've done a lot of work, but are you going to go through the hitters and do their tweaks as well? I think I've picked up from your work that you are a former pitcher so I'm sure that made pitching tweaks a little more appealing to your interest. But if we had someone that put in the quality work you did for pitchers on the hitters it would make the game VERY complete. Want to send a big thanks out to the guys that do this... I've done rosters for NCAA Football and March Madness before so I know how hard it is to do the work you put in, and even harder to get the respect back that you deserve. And in saying that, I'm not going to gripe if you aren't doing the hitters because I understand it's a lot of work, just asking.
HypnoxXx
McCarroll--I think the pitchers were in much dire need of tweaking anyway. Its more precise--either you throw a slider or ya dont...Either the fastball hits 95 on the gun or it cant make it past 90... I've been tweaking hitters as best as I can, simming several seasons and seeing what guys are averaging 30 hr/year when they should be hitting in the low 20s. Seeing what guys are stealing 15 bases when they should be stealing 40. Its a lot more difficult because there are so many factors for hitting. With pitching, either the pitch is good or not. In hitting, ok he has great contact, but what about discipline? Are his tendencies skewed too much towards miss? It could take an hour worth of tweaking and simming per hitter to get his stats accurate. With that said, I hope that changes I make help produce a more accurate and real product on the hitters side of the rosters.
houston34
Hey whats up guys??? I am really looking forward as well to these rosters. They are going to be the best out there.I just have a quick question.Wasnt there 1 person that was going to check on the looks of players, like there right skin tone/color etc?I was just curious if that has been done yet.I know all the other things you guys done sounds perfect.Just wondering if they will look somewhat close to what they should(players in minors)??? Thanks for all the hard work gentlemen.
low42
bby, after watching the Cubs/Brewers game last night I've made a few observations. I don't know if or what kind of changes you have made to these guys, but here's what I caught: Cubs- Carlos Zambrano's Splitter needs to be increased. Not so much velocity, but maybe movement and control. That thing was moving and dropping like a rock last night. Brewers- Chris Capuano's got a great pickoff move. It definately needs to be increased. It's around 60 now I think. Brewers- Derrick Turnbow reached 99mph a couple of times on the gun with his fastball. He was hitting mid-high 90's on a consistent basis with his 4-seamer. His velocity should be increased.
Fiddy
hey for the Mets, lol at this stupid request.......... can you guys get rid the players facial hair? good ole willie ball in the big apple doesnt allow for facial hair. or do you think you should just leave it alone? b/c all i know when Doug Mientkiewicz comes to the plate for me in my dynasty i started he has a crappy gotee and it drives me up a wall lol. either way all you guys have been great on getting these rosters complete, all your hard work deserves mucho props!! houston34
Doug Mientkiewicz has a in game face So I doubt there changing there faces.Just Like Matt Morris Has A beard now but his face is already in the game.
Fiddy
ahhh so there is no way to take the facial hair off of them. oh well lol
MaddiesDaddy
there is a cyberface for Matt Morris in the download section. it has a beard. So the answer to your question Fiddy is still no unless some one made a cyberface for the player. Or you could use one of the generic faces which have no facial hair. But then the face would look even less like the player's face in real life. EA did a good job with some and bad with others. I think Jeters is one of the best efforts by EA. But there are some that are pretty bad.

MVPlover
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap?gid=250503104``Sisco's my guy,'' Kansas City manager Tony Pena said. ``He's the guy we're going to use in the eighth inning to pass the ball to (Ambiorix) Burgos.'' So Andy Sisco is the Royals' 8th inning setup man and Ambiorix Burgos is their new closer.
