Millennium
As someone who helped update the Brewers, I'd prefer waiting another day or two to make sure all the testers have gotten in their updates and tweaks. People who have invested a little time in the rosters (granted my investment was little) do want to make sure the rosters are as good as possible to start with. If you're going to wait to start your dynasty, you might as well start it with the best rosters possible or you'll start it, then probably have to start another one when all the updates and tweaks are in. The rosters shouldn't be rushed for the whiners here. I made quite a few updates to the Brewers and I'm sure everyone did to their favorite team as well. Either way, I'll be supportive. I'll probably wait until the final updates are in to start a dynasty however. What the heck, we're still only a little over a month into the season - it is a long season. Thanks for the rosters! I completely agree with this. I would hope HypnoxXx doesn't put them out earlier than when the testers finish, but I would also be supportive no matter when they come out. I have sent all of my O's updates, so I am good to go. Hyp, maybe you want to post what teams you are still waiting on beta reports from? I would be more than happy to get another team or two and finish them the way I did the Orioles.
The Show
I'd prefer if the roster is uploaded when everyone sends their tweaks AND BBY finishes his pitching tweaks not only for MLB and AAA but for AA and A. It would be MUCH better.

Millennium, I cannot wait to see the tweaks you did with our O's, especially after I read about the stuff you did with Freire. Is there anyway I can see a info file of the tweaks(Word, excel) or did you just edit in the game itself? Did you just edit the batters attributes? Any edits to Brob? Does Kline have a balk button? Did you edit Cabrerra's gigantic 4' glove(the one he had in the dugout Friday I think) ? Seriously though if you could IM with some more skinny on what you did with your tweaks, I'd take you to an O's game. I'm not buying your beer, though. -Mike
chronicjake
i saay release them with what u have now leave it up to us to do are own tweaks and get a later update we could always tweak this and that till the all star break then we would have to wait for deadline deals too,no release them before all testers makes alot more sense ... houston34
Maybe you could release them and let people post what major changes should be done but keep it simple nothing too crazy.I mean how much better can these get?I think already these sound like they will be very good to go by and start a dynasty.Whoever plays one will just half to keep up with there own season and make trades and what not themselves. HypnoxXx
A few things I need to clear up here as we (hopefully) hit the homestretch... I'm not trying to discount the work the testers are performing and we appreciate it immensely. But I just have come to the point were I don't want the rosters delayed any longer. Secondly, I mentioned a few days ago that all tweaks/suggestions/fixes should be sent to BOTH llcmac and myself. As you can see, llcmac has been/is MIA from the Internet, and therefore those of you who just sent to him need to send them to me now as well, preferably by PM as I dont want to mix these with my actual emails. Next, before I hear it after the release, I am NOT using all suggestions. Some ratings will NOT be changed. Granted some will be changed, but some won't. Now, all equipment, appearance and number changes WILL be utilized. I must say, from the suggestions I've received, I really hope our rosters are really just that accurate because I have hardly received ANY suggestions to change a guys' skin tone or anything. Which leads me to my next point--fixing appearances was our MAIN goal of roster testing. I really don't want to see 10 posts a day saying "so and so is black, you have him as a white guy" after I release the rosters... So in conclusion, PLEASE send ME your suggestions (and ASAP too, since BBY may post the final tweaks today), please go over appearances with a fine tooth comb and please dont make a stink about not using all of your ratings tweaks if I choose not to use them. Nomarhits400
I apologize beforehand if this has been discussed previously- but is anyone thinking of releasing a face and/or potrait pack for these rosters. Seems like it would be a great compliment to all the hard work that went in to making these the most realistic rosters available. Thanks to everyone who worked on the project to make the game better for everyone! ...Out.

HypnoxXx
Portraits....Hory worked extremely hard to make sure every player in our rosters had his own ID...And he will be using that as a guide to creating his extended portrait packs this summer. Cyberfaces...I'm still waiting for someone who's good at them to make me one for my CAP lol....

Andruw25
BlueJays are getting PM'ed to you right now..... Red Sox and Braves will be soon to follow...later tonight hopefully with some more effort. Plenty of good stuff, including an overhaul for the newest Sock, Cla Meredith, and tons of appearance changes for both clubs so everyone's looking tight and playing real to life...so Dustin Pedroia plays like Eckstein and so on! Can't wait to see the Jays gcurrier, sure they're spot on judging by your work I've seen at OS.
SeanC85
Rickey Henderson just signed with a independent league team in San Diego. Maybe you guys could add him to the fre agents. cody2034
Cody, giving out facts? How is "the creators of these rosters just like getting people's hopes up" facts, hmm? You act like I'm delaying this just to watch people grovel and complain, which is just plain stupid. I PERSONALLY have not even begun a dynasty either, and I wouldn't be working so hard at getting these rosters accurate if I didn't care and was satisfied with them enough to start my own dynasty. Furthermore, for those of you waiting patiently, Version 2.0 will be released as SOON as BBY's final AAA pitching tweaks are posted and inputted and the rosters are tested to show no errors/crashing. (XBOX and PS2 versions will be released as soon as Kraw gets his hands on them and has a chance to convert.) I will NOT be waiting for all of the beta testers to hand in their suggestions. Any suggestions we receive after 2.0 is uploaded will be included in a later update. you are 100% correct , hypp:?:
bbythepier
Giants win one game over the weekend and my Mom makes me leave at the end of the 11th because we had a little get together planned. Damn! I think it's about time Felipe takes the boys for a field trip to BALCO. And maybe the bus trip home can leave without the bullpen. Have you ever played poker or dominoes and asked for a whole new hand of cards or bricks? That's what I want to do with our pen. Here’s my last of my first version AAA tweaks: Find Salt Lake corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=saltlake2xw.jpg Find Scranton corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=scranton6kh.jpg Find Syracuse corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=syracuse0js.jpg Find Tacoma corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=tacoma4jr.jpg Find Toledo corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=toledo8zq.jpg Find Tuscon corrections here: http://img170.echo.cx/my.php?image=tuscon8qw.jpg Bbythepier, What the hell are you doing? Do you even have a plan? Well, something like this. Obviously there are guys that spill over the edges of these ranges, but roughly this is the idea. bbythepier
At the water cooler: Low42, jhath and other Cub followers, Every pitcher has days when a certain pitch is working better than others. It would be very hard to rate a pitcher from start to start when taking this into consideration. But often a marquee pitcher has a “signature†outing or outings throughout the course of a year. I will use Jason Schmidt as an example. Last year he threw 2 one-hitters, one on a cold, dreary night at Wrigley and the other on a beautiful Sunday at SBC against the Red Sox (hardly the Royals or Devil Rays). The teams, weather, and setting was different, but one constant was Schmidt’s pitch selection on those days. It was almost exclusively a straight-as-an-arrow, hard fastball/â€off the table†88 mph changeup combination on those starts (probably 90%), with a show-me curve and slider maybe 5-10 times each start. Those are the kind of games I think of when trying to determine a pitcher’s repertoire. What pitches are their best, what are tack-ons. So when you and others tell me that Zambrano’s split is “off the tableâ€, I say “Thank you very much†with my fingers, while one eyebrow is curled up inquisitively. I TIVO’d Big Z’s start against Philly and watched every pitch of his and most of Myers, as my roommate told me his BS story of how he shot a 69 on the links . [Did anyone catch Ryan Madson practicing that knuckle-curve grip in the bullpen as it cut to commercial in the 8th?] That start is one I would characterize as a “signature†game. Big Z threw a split MAYBE twice, once to Howard at the plate in the 9th and a runner on 3rd with one out. His money pitch was that awesome 95-98 mph 2-seam fastball that nearly cracked my Top 10, a 94-95 4-seam (one of which was parked by Abreu), a 78-80 slurvy slider (it bends but has little or no “breakâ€), and a few looping 70 mph curves. Whatever Brenly wanted to call a slider or cutter on a few pitches had no movement whatsoever. So when you and others tell me Big Z has an “off the table†splitter, I’m assuming you’ve never been exposed to a Clemens or Smoltz outing. Those are the premier splits in the game, and it’s not even close (Contreras’ fork is way too inconsistent). Big Z’s money pitch is that hard, tailing two-seam. It’s not a sinker, and I don’t see how it can be called one. Want to see a true sinker? Click on TBS on Tim Hudson’s next start and watch his 160 lb. body torque on that overhand sinker. Want a true tailing, SINKING two-seam, think Kevin Brown in his heyday. So I politely disagree with your suggestion that Zambrano has a studly split. When I play against him in my dynasty, I want him to come at me with that dazzling, tailing 2-seam and slurvy backdoor slider, but not an “off the table splitâ€. Bbythepier’s assessment of Carlos Zambrano and Brett Myers repertoire’s after their dual of complete games, courtesy of WGN (in order of effectiveness and/or use): Zambrano: 95-98 mph 2-seam, 78-80 mph slurvy slider, 70 mph loopy curve, 94-95 mph 4-seam, 88-90 mph split Myers: 93-95 mph 4-seam, 81-83 mph power 11-5 curve, 92-94 mph 2-seam, 89-90 mph cutter BoSox, I know Miller had a rehab assignment in the minors before his initial start, but lets see what he has in his next start before we go back and "re-rate" him. I'd like to see two starts of stuff to see consitency. Plus, wasn't it kind of a dreary, cold day in Beantown?
Millennium
-Mike Honestly, the only tweak I suggested on Roberts was getting hot areas on the inside and low parts of the plate, which were done in the beta I recieved. I have found this is PERFECT for his homerun swing, as if yuo sit on an inside fastball, you can pull them for homeruns. Other than that, he is pretty good ratings-wise (I still can't see him being a .300 hitter, but we'll see, but his 89 speed does wonders for his average). bbythepier's pitching tweaks, I can attest for, are spot on. I made points about Freire's ratings, and Eli Whiteside's defensive ratings. To be honest, llcmac, GeForce, and HypnoxXx have done a phenomenal job on ratings for the minor leaguers. I also gave a few position/2nd position changes. I submitted corrected line-ups and rotations/closers for all three levels, so they should be corrected, although they were pretty close to begin with. I was really amazed at the job done on these prospects. I fully expected the Keys to be way off on ratings, but aazingly even the low tier prospects were right (I loved pitching with Richard Stahl and actually having correct pitches.) I am more than certain these rosters will do well by you, Suspect.

HypnoxXx
I just found a scouting report on Bootcheck that says he throws a fastball, change, slider and below average curve and made the adjustments as necessary...I've given Cla Meredith a plus sinker with a decent 2 seamer and 4 seamer...Rickey is imported into FA's...I'm working on the new Dodger, Oscar Robles right now and should hopefully upload 2.0 tonight... Can't get much better than the horse's mouth. When a pitcher gets called up to the majors, does that make him a “major league pitcher Quick answer: No. A little show-and-tell. While Theo called up Cla Meredith, does that make him a MLB pitcher? No. He is still a AA pitcher in a MLB uniform. When Sabean called up our AA closer, Jeremy Accardo, does that make him worthy of MLB ratings? No. All that does is show our desperation.
