lautrec Posted March 1, 2005 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Maybe this is just me, but I've been playing my Dynasty as the Royals, and just about every time I try to steal a base, my guy gets thrown out. Now, some of them were actually thrown out, but I've had several (probably 75%) guys get thrown out, and the SS or 2B never even attempted a tag. He just caught the ball, with my guy on the bag, and my guys get called out. I upped the slider for User Steal Speed to 35, and this has helped. Has anyone esle noteced this? I was having trouble stealing with my fastest guys so I believe I upped the steal speed to +5 or maybe 10. This is on Allstar level. Try to get the additional 2 step lead. That makes a difference over the one step as most plays are very close, unless you get a slow pitch to go on. I find the stealing in 2k5 to be spot on this year. It was too easy for me last year and I couldnt seem to get it just right. Stealing 3rd works just right too. All the gameplay things that bugged me last year have been addressed and I am very satisfies at this point. Hope you guys are having fun too. I hated that about last years game, but from the sound of it that bug isn't in this game, so maybe I'm just watching a lot of slow teams or something.
