aodaniel
Does anyone have an opinion on the minimum framerate required to ensure that you won't be late on pitches when batting. I want to make sure that I'm not late on a fastball because I'm not getting enough visual information on when to swing due to a low framerate. Right now I'm getting 29 fps when running at 1280x1024x32. Visually, it doesn't look choppy or anything, but I don't want to be cheating myself. At 1024x768 I get a steady 48 fps when batting, so I'm sure that is fine. But I do enjoy the crispness of the higher resolution, just not at the expense of my performance. EviLMonkey
Ever since I underclocked to get the smooth play, I am getting 43 FPS. I dont think its too big a deal.
ezdriver
I usually see fps in the 45-60 range depending upon the camera view. The game is set at 1280x1024, all video options 'on' and maxed, AA at 2X, AF at 4Q. Other than the stutters, a really good looking game IMO. ez

schitonk
i'm getting 60 almost all the time, according to fraps. what are your system specs again? and what res/refresh do you play at? is vsync on ingame or display proerties?
aodaniel
will vsync on or off affect framerate?
donjn
When your batter is just standing there it is locked at 30. Once the pitch is thrown and action happens it shoots upwards. So all these replies are meaningless unless you explain what your player was doing while you recorded the FPS.

aodaniel
At a res of 1280x1024x32 i'm getting 28 with batter standing at the plate and during the pitch and up to 42 when ball is in play. At 1024x768x32, I get 48 with the batter at the plate/during the pitch and up to 60 when ball is in play.
