Slider's which way?

Which way makes them better and worse?

If you change your slider to the + side does that improve the players or make them worse?

It sure would help if they would include these things in the manual.

Please specify which sliders you are asking because changing it to the right of left affects your players differently depending on what the slider changes. Most of them are pretty intuitive.

The ones I don't understand is the Pitch Meter difficulty and pitch control ones. Does moving the sliders to the left make it HARDER to use the meter and lose more control or is it the other way??

If you move hitting (you) to the + side, does it make them better hitters?

Same goes to power. The CPU seems to cranking too many homers. So which way do I move the sliders to make it harder for the cpu to hit homers.

As far as stealing bases, which way do I move my slider to make my guys steal a base better. Furcal has been thrown out 5 times with no steals this season. Yes, I do take a good lead off first base.

Overall I guess what I'm asking is more the hitting and running part of the sliders.

Moving the hitting sliders to the + side will increase the batters' ability to MAKE CONTACT with the ball.... making them better or worse hitters depending on what you choose to swing at. Decreasing the Power sliders (- side) should decrease the number of home runs.

For stealing, move the slider to the + side. Maybe increasing running speed slider also helps.

One thing I'm really confused about is the Pitch Control Slider and the Meter Difficulty slider..... I see many people have them set on -50. Does it make it HARDER or EASIER to hit the perfect spot?? Please let me know... THANKS!~

A "-50" setting would make it harder to hit the spot.

I am not sure if I agree with these two:

User Dive Difficulty: + for easier diving catches by user fielders (Big Play Control), - for harder

CPU Catch Effort: + for more diving CPU catches, - for less

I thought, and obviously could be wrong here, but I thought + on Dive Difficulty would make Diving catches more difficult to acheive and ( - ) would make them easier to acheive.

On Catch Effort I think it applies to all defensive attempts to catch a ball weather it be a diving catch or not whereas + would make players attempt harder in making a play more often whereas ( - ) would cause them to kinda casually attempt making plays on occassion.

Any other thoughts on these two ---- Which way do you see it ?

At first, playing with the default sliders, the CPU kept making diving catches against me... like 3-4 times a game and by players who aren't known as great defenders... and with so much ease, I starting to think 'oh no! a bug!'... but after adjusting it to -10 at first and finally at -15, it now happens in a much more realistically ratio and most of the time, the amazing catches are executed by players who are very good defensively.

Btw, I'm playing (and always have, since the beggining) at MVP level, so that may had to do with my results.
