ncbravesfan
Has anyone noticed the lack of strikeouts when playing the computer vs itself? Has anyone tested the sliders to see what the best fix for this is?
lasereye420
strikeouts seemed ok for me, a bit low but the walks were killing me. i had to adjust the sliders several times, especially after my pitcher walked in two runs in a row.
daddy
It seems ok to me for now. I'm using stock sliders, too.
stecropper
Yep - I am a CPU vs CPU only player and I have been experimenting with the sliders and now I think I am getting close. Had 12 K's with the 64 Phillies vs 63 Dodgers last night. Get 4-6 per game very often but then occassionally only like 3 even with Koufax tossing. I am using All-Star Mode. Will post my slider settings a bit later as I don't have them here right now. But CPU Pitchers control is way high and CPU Batter's Contact is very low. CPU swing frequency and CPU Pitchers fatigue and Ball Rate also effect the K's effect.
daddy
Thanks, I will check it out when you post them.

stecropper
No ..... not the way I understand it ......... this will increase their speed and they will get a quicker jump ( with less delay on their jump ) ......

stecropper
tadscout, Those are from the Early '60s Classic Roster set from MVP 2004. I used Robert Glass's MVPConvert program to move them from 2004 to 2005. Requires a little face number validation but otherwise it converts over very well. Probably takes less than 5-8 minutes per team to go through each player to make certain his face is coded correctly as having a 2004 or 2005 type face. All of this is in Robert's MVPEdit program. rodney
i do cpu vs cpu and made myself one player on the team sowhen its my turn switch over to logitech and bat,yes its hard to see a stikeout ,but they did make the strike zone smaller this year because of last years game lack of walks someone needs to change the zone
tellis54
Ok, I'm confused. How do you get a cpu vs cpu game? When I set both teams to cpu, the advance button disappears, along with the user profile button and the random button so I can't start the game. Maybe it's because I'm running the pc version. What platform are you guys running?
stecropper
Once you get into the game and the players are on the field just go to "Select Controllers" and set both teams to CPU then. Can't do it before the game actually starts.
