Charadeyeam
I just bought the PC version of this game yesterday and have all ready decided I'm never going back to a console version. :x First of all, is it possible to buy one of the PS2 adaptors at a store? I just cut up all my credit cards so I can't buy one online. :? I actually have one but it's old. It was one of the first ones made; I got it almost two years ago, and when the game starts it says it doesn't recognize it. They're cheap enough that I suppose I can eventually just get another one. Or even just get one of the logitech ones instead. However, in the meantime, I've become pretty apt at just using the keyboard. The only problem is, I can't figure out how to lead-off which makes it uber-impossible to steal. Is there anyway to do it?
five
Well on one of the computers I am using I have an adapter that is circa 97-98 and it works fine. That is, after I tweaked the controller.cfg file.
Charadeyeam
What's involved with doing that?
five
Start -> Run -> joy.cpl Is it recognized there?
Mets1fan
Uber-Impossible to steal sounds about right. The manual says that to increase leadoffs, it's the Right Analog stick. On the keyboard, this equals the Right Shift So you could try the Right Shift with the numpad (assuming you haven't remapped the numpad to be easier to control, such as using arrow keys). The other thing to try is to go into the controller.cfg as change the Right Analog Left or Right Analog Right buttons from "Not Assigned" to a key. Although I have done this, and I do not believe it works.
chanatown
Another thing that is important but missing from the keyboard configurations is sliding. So many times i could've beat the throw if i had only slid into the base and not walk onto the base.
