kitm9891
I just got off the phone with EA and I was told that basically everyone jumped the gun and that next years MVP is already in development, but after next years version there will be no more MVP for awhile atleast. I was told that the any titles that are in development prior to the exclusive contract can still be released, but nothing after that until the end of the contract. Thought this was important news and unless I am late to the party I assume many people thought this was the last year, but thankfully it wont be. Gamingboy
Okay, so that's good. So I guess they've found a loophole, they SHOULD start development on MVP 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 right now. Heck, just making a TITLE SCREEN i guess could be labeled as "in development".

krawhitham
they can release MVP 2006 at the end of the season if they want, but that is about it. NFL 2k is also in development but there will be no release next season

kitm9891
Who did you call at EA? I'm calling bullshit until this guy proves it. No need to use profanity here I wouldnt think, and if needed I can copy and paste the return e-mail I got from EA when I called. I origonaly called in regards to the choppy gameplay but upon talking to this guy, which lasted for about an hour, we were talking about the prospects of a roster update to end the year out since there would be nothing next year, and thats how we got onto the conversation of how exactly the exclusive deal worked, and what I told you is exactly what he told me. I wouldnt come on here and make it up, what purpose would that serve me exactly? Upon haring what he told me I felt like other people might want to know, and thats the only reason I posted it, if you chose to not believe me then thats your opinion but I would in no way try and bog down the servers here with a lie, makes no sense. Like I said, if anyone needs proof, the only proof I have, I can copy and paste the e-mail which basically will show what time I called, my technical problem and his name, and then you can decide from there I suppose. MetsDrummer
Thank you for the explanation. You have no clue how many times people come to sites like this and start rumors using vague stories like "I talked to a guy at the company".
