mooseknucks
Okay maybe I put the emphasis on the wrong part. COMPLAINTS PLAYER RATING WISE
MarkB
How about emphasising the correct forum, Moose? MVP 2005 TALK GOES IN THE MVP 2005 FORUM. Couldn't resist.
JohnE66
I looked over some the other day but don't have the list. Here are a few I remember. Mark Loretta and Johnny Damon have too much power. A sim will give them 25 - 30 hrs. If you look at their stats, they had banner years in power compared to their careers. Jason Lane has too little contact. They have him hitting lighter than Brad Ausmus! He should be about a 270 - 275 hitter vs. Right. More later

AF3141
Ramon Nivar (one of the fastest players in the Rangers organization is rated a 52 speed, he should atleast be past 85). Also they gave Mike Young poor fielding ratings, figuring he's one of the best defensive shortstops. Soriano is also vastly underrated just because he had a down year in terms of hitting and power. cb
Nivar has a Gabe Kapler arm too. He's got a cannon. FINALLY! ANOTHER RANGER FAN!!!!!!!!
WhoisKarimGarcia
Bubba Crosby's speed is 49,thats a problem

cb
Who's Dabid Wright?
AF3141
Yep, im a Ranger fan I also noticed that most minor league pitchers have poor stamina, which should probably be fixed too.
kevattac
Ichiro may not seem like he has a lot of power (58,69), but wit the amount of contact he has (97,99) he is hitting bombs. When I simulated my owner mode form april until may i found out he led my team with 8 hrs, he had 8 all of last year! So decrease his power. cubsfaninfla
Brandon Backe's hitting is down too low. He is one of the best hitting pitchers around.
endeavor
Who's Dabid Wright? David Wright... Plays for the NY Mets, very quick feet, def. too slow in the game. In an earlier post mentioning Damon's power, I think he is easily capable of hitting 28-33 HR's a season. If we were to go all by career stats, than Beltre is overrated as well. JohnE66
Also Adam Everett and Khalil Greene have ranges that seem too low. (Hou and SD)
Metsui
Don't forget about progression. Wright's speed goes up in the 80's after a few seasons. If you change it now he'll end up with upper 90s speed after a few years.
JaFFiTh
I think a lot of the players are overrated in the game, especially the players that can hardly hit 10 homers hit more than 10 up to 15, maybe more. Especially Omar Vizquel hit 24 homeruns in on year..ouch! and Pierre hit 10 homeruns on an average basis, and he can hardly hit the ball out of the park. So it seems like the power rating needs to be updated big time
The H
Mike Cameron hits too many HRs... the Mofo kills me. David Wright murders the ball... I know he' supposed to be very good, but THIS GOOD? I'm not sure.
ssmith7289
COME ON!! Michael Young and Hank Blalock Hall of Famers? Sheesh what a disgrace to those who are in! As far as player edits...they have K. NYM
Mike Cameron hits too many HRs... the Mofo kills me. David Wright murders the ball... I know he' supposed to be very good, but THIS GOOD? I'm not sure. yes he actually is.....he can hit the long ball as good as any HR hitter...he leads my team with 24 HR.....i think he had 4 or 5 of his HR's go opposite field.....bottom line...he has tremedous power... ssmith7289
Yes but he is still a rookie and his ratings should reflect that.

smart88
David DeJesus should be faster than 58 Randall Simon should be a first baseman not third baseman Vladimir Guerrero should not be an 85 fielding, he always misjudges balls he should be at the most 80 Chad Tracy should be at least a 60 in speed Bo Hart hits Right not Switch Clint Barmes deserves higher than a 49 in speed.
