endeavor
Is there anyone out there with the same video card that has made adjustments to cure the choppiness? I have a Dell XPS 2nd Generation Computer. I used to have Radeon's all my PC life, then recently went with an Nvidia 6800 GT....On either card with MVP '04, I never had these "infield" choppiness issues. Now, the XT is even faster than the 6800 GT, and the settings "could" be very similar. I have tried from underclocking to overclocking of the video card, to adjusting AA/AF settings, no better results. The only thing I found to be true in terms of AA/AF, the grass does look more acceptable with a higher setting there. Currently I am @ 6800 Ultra speeds (400/1.10Ghz), 4xAA, 4xAF...still get the choppiness, and I also think it is related to EA's camera movement. Seems sometimes if it can view it all in one angle, there is no choppiness. :?
Kccitystar
Is there anyone out there with the same video card that has made adjustments to cure the choppiness? I have a Dell XPS 2nd Generation Computer. I have the same card, but I can't really fix the choppiness yet. I'm waiting for the Catalyst 5.3 drivers which are due in a couple weeks to see if they fix anything.

For instance Half-life 2 performs better with Radeon. Personally I don't mind have the ball studder with my 9800 pro...
moeberg
Thanks for your input guys. Kccitystar, your uniforms really improve the look of the game completely.
cracula
Here are my settings...maybe this will help you out. Mine seems to be running very smooth since I cranked everything up. I was getting some serious stuttering when throwing the ball and on replays, but it seems to be almost gone... NyeMan
try omega drivers...theyre for both nvidia and ati cards www.omegadrivers.net
cracula
Omega drivers are good too. They're driver tweaks. Give them a shot if this doesn't work. To turn on VSync, right click your Desktop, go to Properties, then Settings tab. Then Advanced button at the bottom. Click on the 3D Tab and you should have all of the settings there. (I made the settings the same for OpenGL as well). You'll need to click the Custom Settings button to be able to edit the settings by unchecking the box. Turn it up and see if it works. Monitor refresh rate will be under Monitor Tab. Click the Display tab and you change the refresh rate for the card. I believe Fast writes is on the SmartGart tab...but don't quote me on that. If it's grayed out, you'll need to enable fast writes in the bios. and then it will be available. hope it helps fellas....or ladies!
