big shmooz
Try throwing the ball from third base to first base. You will see the chopiness. Btw.. My system is quite high end. I have a 3.20 ghz processor & a Nvidia ge force 6800 ultra. I have my settings ingame maxed out. I see chopiness on throws across the infield, but they are not terrible. I also used to see the chopiness on replays that follow the ball, but for some reason I no longer see chopiness there. I also see chopiness on replays of the baserunner running like from second to home on a hit. (only on the auto replay that ea automatically uses) I have my card settings on 8xs (not sure what the "s" means) antialiasing & 16 x anistropic filtering. I also have it set to high quality. I just changed my settings to turn my V-sync off, as opposed to having it set to "application controlled" & will see if that get's rid of the chopiness, which is really not bad to begin with, though it does exist noticably. I am playing the game in 1280 x 1024 mode at 100 hz. refresh rate on a 24 inch cathode ray tube monitor. I also suffer from the shimmering grass. Also in many stadiums, the ball is very hard to see on the outfield grass. I can run by the ball simply because I don't see it. What's up with that? Anybody else suffer from this issue? doctdc
Ok. To fix the grass Right click on your desktop Hit Properties Settings Advanced ATI3D Check the Use Custom Box Hit the Custom Tab Turn Anti-alaising and Anisotropic filtering each to at least $X and 6X Hit Apply and Ok This should take care of the grass. DocTDC PS I'm assuming you are using recent drivers
big shmooz
Update to my previous post... When I turned the V-Sync off, it made the chopiness WORSE! Anyway, I turned it back on & it's back to how it was before, which is not perfect, but bearable. Also... Just to clarify "doctdc"... I think he meant, 4x anti-aliasing & 6x anistropic filtering.
