I downloaded the New MVP Edit Converter.

I converted Total Classic Rosters04 to 05.

But I cant export them to MVP 05 because I need to fill the "A" Teams..

How the heck do I do that?

Thanks!

Actually,

There's a little more to it:

1) run MVPCONVERT against a 2004 roster file

2) Save with a new name for 2005 version

3) Export each team you want to use

4) Load a good 2005 roster file into MVPEDIT (import dat files)

5) Import each 2005 version of the teams into the 2005 roster file

5A) Review each player on the Team(s) just imported to insure if their face is a 2004 type or a 2005 type. Set the new 2004 Flag in MVPEdit located just left of the face # to either Yes or No depending on face type (turn on Portraits/Faces in the Tools/Option section of MVPEdit so you can see the face to make this determination). Some Faces you will get a "Picture Not Found" indication at which time you will need to put in a valid face # and set the flag accordingly. For Face #'s 901-915 (I think are the correct #'s replacing the old generic 492-505 ones from 2004) you just need to set the Flag to "NO".

6) Export dat files to create new 2005 roster set

I'm new to this game and the use of MVP Edit. I was wondering how to get the rosters I'm using in MVP 2005 (llcmac v.3) into the MVP Edit program to be able to work on them if need be. When I try to "open" or load in the roster set, my "database" folder in the MVP 2005 directory shows nothing in it. And in the bottom box in the editor program it says "MVP Baseball Editor Files (*.mbe). I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

When you import the default .dat roster files from the MVP 2005 game's database directory into MVPEdit you have to give the Roster a name with MVPEdit prior to saving it within MVPEdit. That is what an .mbe file is within MVPEdit. So you may be looking at the area where it asks you to type in the name you wish to name this MVPEdit .mbe roster file.
