UncleMo
Astros= You have to replace Biggio, Bagwell, Kent, Beltran, and Clemens. Biggio & Bagwell and even Clemens will retire soon. You have to get young talent or trade Biggion and Bagwell away for cheap, hot talent. Maybe. Braves= Get outfielders or resign Mondesi and Jordan to cheap long term deals. Get Pitching to replace John Thomson and Smoltz-he will retire soon. Trade Andruw for a cheaper CF that can actually hit for average and maybe Trade Chipper for salary reasons. Nationals= Get better players and actually win games. Rangers= Get tons of pitching. Need some hitting too. Somehow keep Soriano. Yankees= Must reduce payroll. Get better pitching. Need younger players all around.
APR
Astors, they are pretty old from what I can remember. It will be hard to play with them in my opinion.
reverend
Astros because the Cubs Reds and Cards are in the SAME DIVISION! 8O
MarkB
It would depend on what yolu consider challenging and what is your ultimate goal for the season. You want to win a World Series and you want a challenge? Go with the Nationals. You want to get the Rangers to the top of the A.L. West? Take the Rangers. McDiddy
How on earth would it be hard to be the Yankees? They're the easiest team to be in MVP.
boulet430
Personally Im debating being either Oakland or NY. I don't think its really hard to be any team. If you are good at the game, you can really win with anyone. Reason I don't play with the Yanks, is I feel weird trading players away when Im them. 8O
RAM
How on earth would it be hard to be the Yankees? They're the easiest team to be in MVP. LOL! i was just thinking that myself. why would anyone think that is a challenge. if we're talking which team would be the most challenge to play with, which i'm not sure if that's what we are because the thread title is incomplete. then you would have to say the nationals. in real life the astros may be older (but still decent), and on paper they may seem underdogs (which still doesn't matter) but this is a game. the rangers are a solid team (need pitching help as always) on paper and in the game, so i don't necessarily think that's a challenge - maybe a small one. so of the choices you listed it would have to be the nationals. maybe the d-rays, or the brewers, maybe even the pirates or rockies or blue jays. i know there's othe options i can't think of right now. MarkB
I think the Red Sox are actually rated the best team in MVP 2005.
UncleMo
good points. i purposely did not list the other teams such as rockies, pirates, etc. etc. because the ones listed above are the only ones i'm interested in trying. so, the consensus is nationals?
