xavier16
I live in Australia and am taking a trip to the US in a few weeks. I absolutely love baseball (purchased the PS2 version of MVP 2005 already), but after seeing all the options that are available for the PC version, I think I am ready to convert. My question is..are my computer specs up to par to play the game decently. I have seen lots of complaints of bugginess and such. I would like to know if my system would be decent enough to play without too much hassle. Intel Pentium 4 2.40 GHZ 516 MB RAM NVIDIA GEForce 4MX 440 128 MB ram for graphics card Thanks guys..from reading the forums you seem like a great bunch of helpful folks. Look forward to any responses.
fuzzone
im going to have to tell u, i think the mx 440 might give u the lag/choppiness problem i keep reading about even though its 128 ram car. it'll be tolerable though. 516MB and 2.40 ghz should be good enough, again, it'll be real good but not great. IF these are laptop specs, expect lag after an hour of gameplay.
krawhitham
looks good, some people will claim the video card might be a little low for the game, but that is what my son has and it works fine on his computer he has all the same specs (dell 400sc) and has had no problems
xavier16
I appreciate the responses. Thanks tons. Seems that I may just barely make it pass the "okay" line of playing it on my computer. Here's a follow up question then...if I were to add some mods in (i.e. uniforms, stadiums) would that suck out some of my system power and then thusly decrease my game playing to a lousy choppy/laggy game? Because I plan on buying the PC game strictly based on what I see here. You all have gotten my interest up so much that it will cost me some money! Shame on you all! Thanks for a response.... krawhitham
maybe stay away from 2x mods (twice the size graphics) besides 2x, mods should not hurt performance
fuzzone
dont worry about the mods. That won't be a problem really. You have a decent system, the only thing that might be a problem is the choppiness/stuttering issue that people have. The game should still look real nice on ur system regardless of high quality stadium textures or 2x uniforms.
