UncleMo
Face modders, can I do that and can you please tell me exactly how. I know you guys get pics off of the net and put them into the game and call it cyberfacing, so can I put my ugly face in the game? My face is not too ugly to make the game crash. Seriously though. Can I? I'm thinking of putting my family and friends into the game!

rglass95
Here is my face tutorial from last year, I don't know how much it has changed though. MVPedit: Face Tutorial Difficulty of Tutorial: Expert MVPedit, in conjunction with other programs, can be used to modify player faces. In MVPedit, go to the Tools / Options menu and select the MVP Baseball data directory (by default, it is located at C:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseballdata). Make sure that the "Show Faces" checkbox is checked and load your roster. On the Appearance tab, you will notice the player's face along with a Face input box. It is not yet possible to add faces, so you can choose any number between 1 and 490. Any player with a generic face (491-505) will not be shown! Changing the face value will update the image. So now, you want to modify the face? You will need to use a program called OEdit, along with ORDtools. http://oedit.nd4spdworld.com/site/index.php. To understand this, you need to know the basic structue of the face. It consists of three files: a FSH, a ORD, and a ORL. The FSH is where the image is located that is mapped on the 3D face, which is defined by the ORD and ORL files. OEdit is a program used for editing the three-dimensional model of the face. However, OEdit reads in O files, which is a combination of the ORD and ORL files. Confused yet? Note: I do not recommend working out of the MVPedit directory. When you finish editing a player by clicking on another player, any files I associate with him are deleted. It is best to copy these files into a working directory and do your work there. To convert your ORD and ORL files to O files, you will need to run ORDtools, which is a command line program. The ORD and ORL files will be found in your MVPedit directory, with the name cXXX.ord and cXXX.orl, where XXX is the number of the face you want to modify. In this case, we have Derek Jeter's face, which is 7. To convert it to an O file: ord2o c007.ord c007.orl c007.o Now you can open up your file in OEdit. I won't go into how to use it here - read the documentation on the website to figure this out. Here I have made Ichiro's nose longer. I am an evil man. Now that I am finished editing the O file, I need to convert it back to the ORD and ORL files. It's pretty much the same procedure as before: o2ord c007.o c007.ord c007.orl If you look in the MVPedit directory, you will see a folder with the same name as the face - in Jeter's case, c007. In here is the contents of the FSH file - a bitmap for the map of the face, and an index.fsh file. If you want, you can update the bitmap (it must be 24 bit!), and if you want to save the face you are editing to a new number, you can edit the index.fsh file to match the number you want. Now that we have everything modified, we can click on the image of the face in MVPedit to bring up the Update Face box. Here we can change the map image and the ORD and ORL files. When finished, press OK and the face will be updated.
