smart88
when you play on a classic stadium, the color is faded and "old-school", thus giving off the effect you are playing in 1925 or whatever. This is called the "Cooperstown effect."

This is called the "Cooperstown effect." and it sucks horribly, its distracting as hell, and brings me damn near a seisure.

pangderx
It really is horrible. I can't understand why they would even put this in the game. I mean watching it in a highlight MIGHT be ok, but playing with it on is just impossible.
APR
This "effect" is extremely unrealistic for the time. The players of that era didn't play in brownish colored air. They played in the same environment we play in today. The times may have changed, but the color of our world hasn't.
Gantners Kid
And we have the ability to turn it on or off, so what's the big deal. If some people (even if not many) like it for CPU vs CPU to get an old time feel, then great, turn it on. If you think it's annoying turn it off. Why complain about a feature that you don't like when it's something you can turn on and off?
Digital_Utopia
Because they spent time on creating this effect when they could've focused their attention on doing a better job on the game? lol

The real problem is when the effect is turned off, the old-time stadiums still have had the color drained from them; they are all very washed-out looking. For a comparison, look at the stock Polo Grounds in the game, and then look at the edit that is in the download section. It's like night and day.
