CPU doesn't hit well on All Star

I have their contact at 25 and their power at 40 and they still don't hit worth a damn. I just threw a 1 hit shutout with greg Maddox. I have my pitching acc. turned down, all the batting icons off except for the catcher cursor and they still don't hit much? Should I switch to the MVP level?

P.S. Sorry for posting so much, I want to get this game setup right for the most realistic games!

From Last years version, I find the sliders for contact and power do little. With that said...I dont find that All Star the cpu is that bad. I have been getting realistic games...but its prob because I havent mastered it yet.

Yeah I too have found that even after adjusting the sliders a ton, the cpu cant hit me for crap. My team ERA is like 1.9. Then again, I am only scoring about 4 runs per game, so it just seems like too little scoring, or too good of pitching in general. I played around on MVP difficulty and didnt find it to be much better. Just harder to hit.

Try tweaking the pitch meter difficulty slider. I have mine set at -45. I find this makes it harder to hit the corners and creates more mistake pitches. The CPU on all-star hits me hard enough on this setting.

You also might want to try the trues/snepps datafile which makes the pitching meter even smaller on default. Then the -45 setting gets even harder. It's borderline High Heat-esque.

I think the game is extremely realistic. My Cubs have blown about 6-7 games they were leading in. I'd say that's pretty realistic.

Well I have it set on MVP now and my pitching stuff turned down. I lost my first game on MVP 6-0 to the Brewers. I still can't hit all that well, but it will come with some games under my belt. I am now 4-1 in my season with the Cubs.

I have been playing on Allstar and MVP with the Angels and I find I have very low scoring games. I decided to not use the pitch cursor anymore(used fade before) and have gone back to Allstar and with default slider settings for Pitch/hit, I am having better games. I actually walked 4 guys in one game. That's a first! And I gave up 9 runs to the Mariners including 2 HRs and 7 RBI to Beltre! Then I came back the next game and threw a shutout. Go figure.

LOL, I play online and nothing I have faced online compares to the difficulty I have had pitching solid games against the All-Star computer. BTW, I don't stink online, im 57-12, so I'm no push over. But it's hard for me to pitch against the computer on All-Star with no adjustments to the sliders.
