Anyone figure out a third party prog that we can use? It seems like it will only allow a darn mouse click on the word "Resume" to go back to playing...

ARGH!!!

On the PC you can pause the game with the "start" button on your controller, but you can't resume it...you have to click resume with your mouse....A real PITA since I just got a cordless controller so I can lay back and play...

That's great, thanks kamasutra...I mapped my mouse to my gamepad...now I can really make use of that cordless gamepad :) All the game features are available through my gamepad now :)

I basically only have it set up to do fraps screens and to get out of the menu.

When I am running through my big tv, I set it up to do everything, scroll and all.

It works great for fraps, which is the main reason I run it.

I've been trying to get the word out about that program forever.

Way to steal the spotlight kam. :)

lol sorry bro, friend of mine sent it to me a while back on msn for 04.

Don't really need it since I used logitech's software that pretty much does the same thing. But this proggie is much better imho.

Hey guys, I downloaded this program and have read the readme file but I can't decipher what to do with it. I want to program the gamepad (logitech dual analog) so I can push a button on the gamepad to mirror hitting the Resume with the mouse. Can anyone offer step by steps as to how to do this? The readme reallydoesn't explain anything and I don't want to be stuck programming something I don't want and then not knowing how to undo it. Thanks in advance.

I'm with you, mflv.....I downloaded and read the readme and quickly determined that I didn't have a clue on what needs to be done. <sigh>

Actually I'll be satisfied if I just can get one of my Saitek P880 keys to perform as the "esc" key. That way I can eliminate using the keyboard altogether.

Would any of you guys who are responding and saying, Great it works great, share with the rest of us how you did what you did? Please???? There have been a few requests for instructions on how to use the Joy to Key but I haven't seen any responses even though it's obvious that some of you have figured it out. Please? Thank you.

Run the program, click on the "Mouse" button, choose Left and then move the mouse slider left (I like -40, -100 is too fast), choose Right and move the mouse slider right to +40 (or whatever you want to use)...repeat for up and down...then choose a button on your controller that you want to use for left click (I chose 10 on my logitech rumblepad) click on button 10 (or whatever button you are going to use) and click the box in the lower left that says "left click"....check it while you are doing it, for example, once you have done the Left thing, check that your gamepad moves the mouse left, etc...

Minimize the program and it should work, you can't exit the program or it stops working...I set it up to start when windows starts...now I can even navigate these forums with my cordless gamepad :) I even mapped my scroll wheel to the two shoulder buttons so I can scroll up and down the forums :)

I had a few points in the game where it didn't seem to work exactly correctly...but it works great for just pausing the game to check number of pitches and resuming or resuming when the CPU announces a lineup move...I didn't get it to work in the bullpen yet, when I went to click on "Substitute" it kept sending me back to the game as if I was pressing Esc...I'll have to look at my configuration again.

Well that helps. Thanks. Only one more question. You've programmed your gamepad to respond as if you're clicking your left mouse button (for example). How do you know what it is you're clicking when you're in the game. How do you know you're clicking on Resume, for example, instead of Quit. You've explained how to manipulate the click, how do you manipulate the select part of it?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking...I've programmed it to act as my mouse, so I'm able to move the mouse pointer around the screen with my gamepad and click on whatever I want...

Ah. That answers it. You still have to navigate and point and then hit a button. I thought everyone was talking about just having to hit a button to resume like it was last year. I don't know why they had to change that. I really liked that you could check the progress of your pitcher warming up and then bounce right back into the game, or check pitch count and stuff. I hate having to move the mouse and click to get back into the game. At least it's a good game, though.
