RedSoxFox7
I am of the opinion that EA relied heavily on McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket to make their AAA Stadium 3. As such, I'm going to work on making AAA3Nite as close to McCoy as I can. Since I have zero experience with OEdit, the first version will be nothing more than making the ads real and localized to Pawtucket, and changing the wall color. For now, here are some teaser shots. Unfortunately, EA had to make things difficult with the way they did their cropping from ads0, so this is going to take a little more time than I thought it would. I'll continue to post updates in this thread until it's ready to be used.
Kriegz
It looks very good so far, keep up the good work! Also is it possible to make the name on the screen Mcoy Stadium instead of AAA stadium 3?
mastasports1
It looks very good so far, keep up the good work! Also is it possible to make the name on the screen Mcoy Stadium instead of AAA stadium 3? Someone changed Pro Player to Dolphin, so yes it is, by editing the local. something file. And it looks great Fox! Hopefully you can learn Oedit to make it even better!
RedSoxFox7
I just did a little more testing of my own, and as it turns out, the cropping issues aren't my fault. EA screwed up the cropping even with their own ads. Now I'm just going to have to figure out a creative work around, so the poor cropping isn't obvious. RedSoxFox7
looks pretty good except the video screen I think that's a result of using FRAPS to take the screen shot, it looks fine in the game.
Filthy57
looking good, Fox. Looking forward to an accurate McCoy to play in.
RedSoxFox7
looking good, Fox. Looking forward to an accurate McCoy to play in. I wouldn't go so far as to call it an 'accurate' depiction, at least not yet. At the moment it's just going to be a little more localized. Ads for places in Pawtucket and RI and New England. Some of the ads aren't even actually at McCoy, but they're either from a company that does have ads at McCoy (Michelin), or they're local companies that logically could have ads there (Mary Lou's coffee). It's by no means on the level of EZorn's Fenway from last year, or even your every day true-to-life MLB park. But it is at least a step of above EA's offering. Is it just me or is that a huge Marijuana plant to the left of the scoreboard? redsox443407
the stadium looks great so far, being from RI a channel 10 (turnto10.com) ad would be nice, or any other local news station (abc6.com) or (wpri.com), keep up the good work
RedSoxFox7
I've given up on this. I lost interest after running into the cropping problems, and I'm still completely clueless with OEdit. I haven't even worked on it in close to a month. As such, I've zipped what little work I had done and sent it off to mastasports1 at his request. Hopefully mastasports1 can succeed where I gave up. :|
mastasports1
Here's some roughOedits I have tooled around with: I added the center field concession stand, however, some more Oediting and texturing needs to be done: After lots and lots of Oediting, I was able to remove a lot of that hill and junk in the background, although it is far from perfect: The high wall behind home plate! (I am still working on extending it) I have started removing some of the crowd down the right field line and inserted the BBQ tent. Obviously a LOT more work has to be done here: But between my recent visit to McCoy, their media guide with tons of stadium pictures, and many websites with pictures, I might be able to get this thing going! Also: I can't seem to find the actual crowd in O-Edit. I can move the seats and the aisles, but not the crowd. Does anybody experienced with Oedit know how to do this? mastasports1
Sweet! Thanks. With some help from people experienced with Oedit (Pirate, HaloFan, Big O?) maybe I can actually make some progress on this! Like I said, I have tons of pictures, and it's a 35 minute drive down, and $9 for tickets, so I can always shoot some of my own, as well!

mastasports1
I've taken a break from the tedious work of O-Editing and began making the ads: Dave's Marketplace -- I still need to ask Tribe Time how to apply a wall texture to it: Hasbro -- I used some of the files from last year's sign to make this one, but most of it was done by scratch: Bostitch -- I suck with Photoshop, but I am REALLY proud of how quickly I whiped this one up, TOTALLY from scratch, just Googling for different pieces of it:
kevattac
Hey Masta How do you delete vertices? I have no idea how to do that and I assume thats how you got rid of the parts of the hill and stuff. Thanks.

mastasports1
Here are some more I had to re-create completely from scratch: For the Times sign, it only took me 10 SECONDS to find the EXACT same text as the real sign in photoshop!
