I hit an inside the park homer but it's scored as a triple next time he comes up or in the season stats. Any fix for this? Savoy Special Posted April 19, 2021 Share Posted April 19, 2021 My son and I's favorite all-time stadium is the Polo Grounds, and we have played hundreds of games in that massive ballpark, which was infamous for inside-the-park homers. Anything hit into those deep gaps beyond the outfielders is a triple at minimum, and if the runner isn't a catcher or pitcher he's almost assured to be able to make it all the way around. Over the last couple of years I bet I've seen anywhere from 30 to 40 or more inside-the-park homers at the Polo Grounds and they're always scored as triples. I would also welcome a viable fix but I've just chalked it up as a weird quirk of the game since inside-the-park homers are pretty rare everywhere else but the Polo Grounds from my experience....................
