Modded stadiums don't work

I've tried for a long time to put the new SAFECO Field mod by evilselig and Bank One Park by pirate, but they will not install. I've done exactly what the modders instructed but it doesn't work. I've replaced the files and kept the back-ups in a different location. It's exactly what I have been doing for the past two MVP's but this time I am running into problems. Anyone?

Odd, all you are doing is replacing the file with another one.

So what happens when you try to load it, you just get the default one, or do you crash?

Okay, this is interesting. Not a single No-CD patch worked so I had to go back to the CD. I loaded the game with the CD, but as soon as the main screen appeared I took out the CD. Everything loaded perfectly without the CD except that the stadiums that should be modded are not modded! Is the game loading the files from the CD or looking for them on my computer (unlikely)? This is really weird.

if you did a full installation and you aren't seeing the modded stadiums that means you are putting them in the wrong directory

No...

then you didn't do a full install there is no other explaination, they work fine for me by reading your post above that none of the no-cd cracks worked you definitely did not do a full instillation

 He obviously did a full install, or the game wouldn't work after he removed the CD.

When you do a full install, all the game checks the CD for is the copy protection within the first few MB of the disc. After that, the disc isn't used for anything.

MikeB: you've got to be installing the files to the wrong folder. When you installed any of the BIG files, were you propted to overwrite anything? If you weren't prompted, you didn't install them to the correct directory. If you were prompted, did you make sure to say "yes" to the prompt?

Just a thought, but I know MVP2003 had high & low res versions of the stadiums. I remember not being able to see the modded versions until I could set all the details to high. Not sure if this is still the case.

I am 100% positive that I had it in the right folder. I just fiddled around with it late last night and got it working. I think the game was just messing up somehow and it was cached. I really don't know.

Damn it, it is happening again. I installed the new Jacob's Field by Pirate and realized it didn't take so I loaded my other stadiums that were modded that I finally got to work. Now they stopped working. I don't have a clue as to what's going on but it's getting really annoying. Anyone have any suggestions? I installed them all into the stadium directory. I even downloaded them again and replaced the old files with the new ones and they aren't taking. I am really getting annoyed because I'm doing everything right. Anyone have this happening? I may just have to reinstall the game.

It's not an installation problem, it's some kind of user error. The game does not cache files. It's something you're doing and/or not doing.

Were you prompted to overwrite the files? Did you click "yes" to overwrite them?

If you did that, are you sure you've got the graphical settings on their highest possible levels? Like Lucas718 said, MVP03 and 04 had 32bit versions and 16bit versions of the stadiums. I know that MVP05 also has a cram.fsh and cram32.fsh file in the stadium BIG file. Odds are, you've got your settings in such a manner that the cram.fsh file is being loaded.

Try this, load up the game click My MVP > My MVP Options > Video Options. Where it says Stadium Textures, I'll bet $100 it says 'Low'. Change it to 'High', save your profile, and start playing the game.

The patch there doesn't really work. It loads the game, but when you try and open up a game it crashes. I'll keep lookin for new ones.

Maybe this will help. Get the NO-CD CRACK here also. I have it and use it without problem.
