redsforlife
Maybe it's just me but this new controller is a piece of ****. I can't get the thing to calibrate fully to the right and sometimes in the field players just jump and dive for no reason because the analog blows. Thanks for any help. SwinginSoriano
the only problem with my logitech controller is that it bugs out and the rotating sticks stop working after a while, so, I have to unplug and plug the usb back in 3 times a game. It seems as if I move around a lot when I play the controller bugs out, so, I have to sit down straight. Oh well, it's worth it when it comes to a great game like MVP Baseball. Just too bad I can't let myself get too excited at big outs or a homerun.
redsforlife
Yeah, I have that same problem. I have unplugged the thing a million times and for some reason I can't get it calibrated fully to the right, who knows.
mflv
I've had that problem a few times lately too. If I Alt-Tab out of the game, go to Control Panel and calibrate the gamepad, when I go back into the game it acts normal again. When you are calibrating, at the point where you are moving the analog around and around, be very careful not to press it down as that interrupts the calibration and Windows interprets it as pressing a button to say you're done. steroid
Its a problem but a slight one none the less. Heres what I did. Go to logitec and download the program that removes the calibration from your computer. Then recalibrate or not if you dont want. Mine work without but a just a little jumpy. I can live with it for now. I like my controllers but logitec needs to make a better quality controller than this one I bought. Thats if you have the dual analog like I have. Too many people have the same problems with the left analog.
spitoon
I had that problem last year with a Logitech Wingman...I returned it less than a week after I bought it and got a Thrustmaster... This year I bought a Cordless Logitech Rumblepad II and it seems to work great, no calibration issues here. The sad part about this is that if you checkout the Logitech Website Forums, there are many, many reports of this problem and Logitech seems unwilling to do anything about it. kals38
Maybe it's just me but this new controller is a piece of [naughty word]. I can't get the thing to calibrate fully to the right and sometimes in the field players just jump and dive for no reason because the analog blows. Thanks for any help. I had the same exact problem and discovered that when I "tested" the game controller in the Windws Control panel the calibration for the right stick was off, not centered but slightly to the right causing errant dives, etc. I found I still had old Logitech software installed on the computer in addition to the new software for the Rumblepad 2 so I uninstalled both, reinstalled the new Logitech software and re-calibrated. No problems since. Hope this helps.

RAM
yeah many of us posted about this POS last year. it's just worthless. the saitek 880 is the best pc controller out there IMO. i've asked this a few times lately, but, why in the hell do they make these controllers so badly? i mean even if they do perform well, the little rubber pads on the analog sticks start to fall apart and stab your thumbs. this is even the case of the saitek 880. they cost the same as a console controller but console pads last forever what's up w/ that? anyway, i've mentioned it before but you can get a generic ps2 controller brand new for about $10 and the usb adapter for about the same. so for the same price as these pc gamepads you could get that and it should last forever. They sent me a free replacement, so they will do something if you contact them. My new one has been fine...for 2 months so far.

True, I suppose if it is a hardware issue then that's fine....I sort of got the impression that it may be a software issue, if so, they should be able to fix it via a driver patch or something. manfred123
When I had to upgrade from MS Sidewinder to play MVP 2005, I got a Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power 3 for $20 and am happy with it. rubba19
I guess I have been very lucky and have had zero problems with my Logitech. Bought it last summer, so it has gotten decent use.

peerless
I had one of the original Logitech dual action gamepad and I got so sick of the crappy analog. So I went and bought the new rumble one and it works great. Sometimes I really hate Logitech.
ginfest
I went thru a few of the originals between MVP 2k4, Madden and NHL. They were just too flimsy but I used them because the games default layout matched up so well. I now have the Rumblepad version and it's lasted as long as the 3 originals together! steroid
Its the whole calibration issue with these dual analogs I have. The problems I face, is when I remove the calibration with the software, I still have to unplug the controllers and plug them back in and they work for a few days and I have to repeat the process again and again. This is a complication for me, but hey, I dont have the money for the fancy contollers. I guess its what you spend is what you get, right.....LMAO
Smokin_Joe
I'm still using my logitech wingman rumblepad that i got when mvp2003 came out. I don't have any issues with it except for the flimsy analog controls. The plastic knobs have a tendency to come off from time to time but other that that it works fine. I'm thinking about getting the new wireless rumblepad. Does it work ok with mvp?
