I was on the stadium when Zidane score twice against England during the 2004 European Championship, held here in Portugal. France, with Zidane being one of their main players, eliminated Portugal from Euro 2000 and 2006 World Cup. Both times on the semi-finals. He scored all the french goals in both matches. My oldest daughter played soccer from the time she was 5 all the way through her first year of college so we learned the game and started watching it. We still watch Olympic and World Cup games (men’s and women’s games). I remember how great Zidane played in the 2006 World Cup and how he got ejected from the Final against Italy when he head-butted an opposing player.
