Thadeus
What difference does it make? Thanks.
The H
It depends... it can make your game even more choppy or it can smooth things out. Give it a try and then decide if you're better with it turned OFF/ON.
hefalumps
I think I understand what Vsync does - if I'm wrong, please - someone correct me. I believe Vsync tells the video card to display frames in sync with your monitors clock frequency. So, if your monitor has a refresh rate of 60 Hz, your vid card will stay in sync with it and display no more than 60 frames per second, even if it could do better. As for whether it helps or not - what The H said above - it just depends on your montior and vid card. Try different combinations of your monitor's refresh rate and leaving Vsync on or off - and you can try to gauge what looks best for you.
