What's needed to edit the datafile?

I want to add Spitoon and Trues' walks mod to KSM's datafile for my own personal use. How do I edit the datafile because it looks like gibberish when I open it with notepad. Thanks, Rick

what??? you view it in editplus or something like that but you have to uncompress it first and i don't remember how.

Try doing a search in the downloads section for tutorials, someone made one last year

I was confused at first too, but you need some tools. You need eazip.exe to decompress the datafile.txt file (about 700k or so large) before you can use a text editor. The uncompressed version is about 4.1 Megs.

You can also use Snepp's Excel file to help out, but for some reason, I don't think he listed the cameras. You can do searches for battingview6, battingview4, etc. there are 4 views for each number -> leftlow,lefthigh, rightlow, righthigh (or something like that).

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I just installed KSM's datafile and like the camera work, but am having too easy a time with the pitching so wanted to reinstitute the walk mod. I haven't edited a data file in nearly a year, so I've forgotten exactly how to go about it.

If you get the right lines to edit to make the combo file figured out, would you share your edits with the rest of the class (or at least PM them to me)!

This file is a word file that explains the lines that are involved in changing the camera. If it's something other than a camera, check out Snepp's excel file.

I've done some more tweaking and it seems that you really only need to change one number in the datafile to effect my walks mod The others were just a result of doing too much at once, its:

34 accuracywidth that needs to be changed from 0.120 to 0.060 to cut that zone in 1/2...bigger if you want smaller if you want.
